  1. He was undoubtedly one of the greatest entrepreneurs and innovators in American history. A great man. RIP Mr Jobs

    RIP Mr Davis
  3. The club that I go to has several women anglers along with their husbands. They usually don't show up for the meetings, but they do like to fish the tournaments and sometimes take the prize money after the tourneys. Some of them can flat out fish. I wish my wife liked fishing she doesn't like the outdoors much.
  4. Welcome back Avid. The site was not the same without your posts.
  5. Down in south Florida, they will bite at crank baits, spinner baits and soft plastics.Keep in mind they have sharp teeth so you may not want to use any expensive tackle. Watch your fingers. You will need pliers or a knife to cut them loose. Why target gars? There are probably a few bass or other species more worthy of your time.
  6. Man, that is really low for this time of year. Heading into the winter dry months with 11'. What happened to all the rain water? The guys in charge of the water pumps must work for the sugar and sod farms.
  7. The Fins will be an embarrassment to the fans until Ireland, Sparano are hopefully fired after the season. Too bad the fans cannot fire an owner. I gave up my season tickets in 2005 and I haven't missed going to the games at all.
  8. How is the lake water depth? Is it safe to run in most areas?
  9. I am glad you got aboard your boat ok. I did the polar bear plunge in Russia a few years back. I would not advice anyone to try it. Those few seconds were an eternity while I was being pulled out..
  10. Very nice Bullet. Have fun and drive safe.
  11. You are doing a great job so far. Take your time. I remember doing restoration on my 1984 procraft. It was fun but I really don't miss messing with the fiberglass. .02 edit: Do not put in extra fiberglass just to try to make the boat stronger. The extra weight will add up. The additional weight will have you sitting lower in the water and cut down your top speed.
  12. I you want to catch peacocks, you have to make the trip to Miami.
  13. I agree. That is the real story behind the water shortage. Plus, those St Augustine sod farms need the drought and once a week water restrictions to burn up the lawns...it's good for business.
  14. Mercury not only sets the water on fire but also your wallet.....lol
  15. Nice photo and bass. LOL. That gal you are holding makes your head look smaller. ...
  16. Looks like you hit the tri-fecta. Nice job.
  17. Brazil Argentina Phillipines
  18. Check your PM
  19. Sounds like you had fun despite the lack of action. All the rain has increased the water levels which slows the bite. Welcome to the site!
  20. I am fishing Lox this Sunday from 7-11:30 with . Hopefully I can get that biggun that got away from me last Sunday. Anyone else heading out there this weekend?
  21. Hey Shane, I saw you Sunday, but you were in skinny water near the ramps so I couldn't get close enough to give you a shout. A little bit later you headed west. How did you do?
  22. Nice bass Dale, I was there Sunday morning 7-11:30. There were quite a few trailers in the lot. The fishing started out slow, I didn't get a bite until I moved into the cuts where I found some running water. I caught a 7.2, 3, and 3 smaller ones. All of the fish were caught between 9-10. I missed another big fish in the same area, the bass was pushing a big wave behind my EZ but swam off when the boat spooked him.
  23. The neighborhood lakes are a good bet. There are some huge bass in some of the older canals.
  24. Hey Sal, I haven't been fishing much this year(health, family, work) so I was giving general suggestions to the OP. I apologize to the OP if my suggestions are not current to the conditions. I agree with you about Lox, you have to wear out your arm casting, but if you have patience and adjust to the conditions of the day, you will usually get a decent bass or three. The water temps have been cooler because of the clouds and rain. It definitely helps keep the bugs down too. This time of year I fish slowly and deep, looking for current ledges or some structure, or look for holes in the deeper water hydrilla, or deeper water adjacent to hydrilla. I know a couple areas like that at Lox. Not very sophisticated, but it seems to work for me. Have you tried the eeliminator out at Lox? I ordered some from TW for the suitcases.
