I think he is funny. I caught a rerun of the comedian roasting of Larry the Cable Guy last week. Good entertainment, but not for the kids. Lisa Lampineli was a riot. Just hilarious in a very naught way.

It looked different back in the late 70 & early 80's when I fished there. I remember it being rocks with some concrete on it. It looks more pedestrian now. We used to jump off the bridge on the top of the incoming tide for kicks. We(me and friends) were foolish idiots.

I always check the temperature of the hubs, especially if you are traveling long distances. Just pull over and touch the hubs after 15 minutes. You will instantly know if you have a problem. The hubs should be cool - slightly warm IMO. If they are hot, better turn around and head home. Another thing you should check frequently is the torque on your trailer tire lug nuts. On my older rig, I inspect the bearings and repack once a year. I also check all the trailer nuts and bolts in case they need tightening. I just like the peace of mind. I don't like doing repairs on the side of the road. I did it once, never again.

I fished the Boynton Beach jetty years ago. The fishing used to be pretty good for some of the guys although I never had much luck. We used to get a laugh at the folks who were dressed up for dinner or date strolling out there, only to get a sea water bath when they weren't looking.. The only way I pier fish is with live blue runners(or whatever I can catch))and a big balloon above the leader and sling it out there to the reef.

I was using lane Toad gambler big ez's. I also threw trick worms early, horny toads Wat/Red and White later on. Once it got windy,I added weight to the EZ to make it cast better and run deeper.

I took my wife and daughter out for walks on Pompano and Deerfield beach, that is as close as I have gotten to surf fishing. The surf has been great. I have been real busy too, but I was able to squeeze in a quick trip 4.5 hours at Lox. Hopefully I can get up to north WPB in the next few days.I got my surf rod and tackle together 2 weeks ago.

I would use Gambler big EZ lane toad color casting across the hydrilla. Crank it back and slow down over holes - let it sink down into any holes in the hydrilla. I went out last Sunday down here and the bite was good until 9-10 AM. I would get out there at first light. Frogs or toad baits should work good too. Good luck.

I went out to Loxahatchee Sunday morning and launched at 7:30. The water was swimming pool clear in the flats and trails across from the ramps. The bite was good until the winds starting picking up around 9AM. I caught a 3# and a 5.5# within minutes of each other around 8AM. The last bass was 2# caught at 10AM. I lost another one early morning beside the boat when he got his bucket mouth out of the water and shook the hook. He looked to be in the 4-5# range. Not a lot of chances, but the ones I got were quality using EZ's. I packed up at 12:00 to watch the Fins on TV. I had a nice day on the water and probably burned less than 1 gallon of gas. Not to bad. Next time I will get there when it opens to get another hour of action. All of the trails are easily navigable because of the higher water.

I went out to Pompano Pier Sunday to check out the surf at 2PM. It was incredible seeing the monster waves pass just a few feet under the pier. A lot of fisherman were out there, but I didn't see anything caught.

I would start with the fuel system. It sounds like really bad gas. Is the gas still fresh? When was the last time you changed the gas filter? If you don't use a filter, your fuel pump screen may be clogged. What is the condition of the fuel hoses? They last only a couple of years due to ethanol. Other simple things you can check: Are the spark plugs old? You can pull them out and check the color. This is sometimes telling on the health of the engine. They should all look very similar in color. If there is color difference, you should check the compression. Are the plug wires making good contact? Are the small fuel lines around the carbs in good condition?

In Moorehaven, at the end of canal street, there is a camp ground / trailer park with a large boat dock that runs parallel to the shore. The rim canal intersects the ditch that runs out to the monkey box. Last time I was there in my boat, the dock was loaded with fisherman and they were just killing the specks and bass there. The water was teeming with fish. They were using minnows and bobber, but I am sure lures could have worked there too.I wanted to make a few casts there, but I respected their lines and then headed north. You might have to pay a couple of bucks to fish on their dock, but they might just let you fish there for free.

I have used them for years. Both for starting, and two big deep cycle for my 24V trolling motor. If you keep them charged, they should last for 3-5 years. The Everstart batteries that Walmart sells are the same manufacturer that makes Motorcraft for Ford, with different decals. For a low price battery, they are decent.

59 or 63? Really, you should be happy with your set up as long as the hot foot is set up correctly. Those speeds seem very typical for a skeeter running a 150. Chasing those extra couple of miles per hour in excess of that will cost you big $$ . Just my .02

Take out the bilge pump you are using for the live well and put it in your parts box in your garage as a spare. Buy a proper live well aerator pump and hook it up according to the instructions.Double SS clamp as Rhino suggested. In time, cheap clamps rust out. You want this work to last as long as possible. Some live well systems have a valve to allow for recirculating the well water while underway.If you don't have one, you may want to invest in one. Just my .02
