  1. I agree with the 60M(should have been more) in fines. However, the players had nothing to do with the abuse IMHO. I am kind of torn about the removal of scholarships, it only hurts the students. All of the sanctions and penalties should have been against the coaches, staff and administrators. Hopefully there will be some criminal charges and serious jail time to all of those who were in a position of authority and knew all along what was going on. Penn State is forever tarnished.
  2. Congrats on the king, Sir. I am itching to get on the Helen S with my Penn 850 and catch something out of the ocean.
  3. That 2nd boat is lucky it didn't get torpedoed by a tree. Just crazy,
  4. What about a south Florida get together/bbq at your bass paradise?
  5. buoyant jack plate?Hmm. I need to research that. My CMC JP probably weighs 40 lbs. I started a thread about additional stern floatation a while back in the boating section that became the brunt of jokes(beach balls, etc). This is along the line of what I was thinking. The older boats definitely sit lower in the stern by design with the gas tanks and batteries located behind the driver seat and directly in front of the engine. Adding heavy jack plates, max HP engines, power poles, does shift the center of gravity further back sometimes makes it worse. My 1987 Ranger 373, when fully loaded sits so low that the splash well drains in front of the motor are actually letting water into the basin. I probably have 6" of free board on the transom. Needless to say, I get real nervous on the lake when the wind starts blowing. The bilge pump would have no chance if I were to get partially swamped. It really is disappointing when I get blown off the lake...cussing to myself as i head for the rim ditch, but I am extra careful. My next boat will be a 20' flats/bay boat..self bailing for sure. I am glad the Storm guys are OK.
  6. Those Mann's black golly whompers used to be my go to worm back in the day.
  7. A great player. That commercial really brings it back...lol
  8. RIP sheriff..
  9. Eric is right, you are on a roll. Keep it going..congrats!
  10. It sounds like the F-N-R shift cable is not properly adjusted..but I am no outboard mechanic.
  11. That's a wheel fine bass catching machine you got there. The outriggers are awesome..
  12. Nice chunk. Great job guys.
  13. Happy Birthday! Have a great day and make some wishes before blowing out all those candles...

It has been in the mid 80 with rain and clouds all week here in FLA. Those 100's are brutal..especially in locations that have snowy winters. Keep cool...
  15. How binding are Non Compete agreements? A guy has to earn a living.
  16. Just bring a bat and club them or a sturdy knife through the top of their head. I disagree about letting them go. I kill every snake head I catch. They do not belong in south Florida canals.
  17. You got to admire his spirit for rooting for a perpetual loser!
  18. Kudos. That old hag lady should have minded her own business. Kids want to test their boundaries and each parent has to discipline the child as they see fit. If they lose respect for their parent at age 4-5, how will they listen at age 11-17? My daughter pick up some rebellious language as soon as she started PK3. We chose a private religious school thinking the environment and behavior of the children would be better. Wrong! Some of those kids are telling their parents off already. It seems like the parents are waiting for the school to undo the disrespect. That is the parents job IMHO.

Not that I am any expert, but I think you should just level off and maintain your present fitness until you can get re-motivated to set the bar higher.

Mike Miller's performance was stellar. He really put OKC on their heels when those 3's started raining down. I was really happy for all the older guys like Howard that finally got their rings to cap off their careers. It was amusing seeing Barkley(I can't stand him) almost breaking down after realizing that some of those older guys now have rings...and he doesn't.
  21. Down here we have deep sea fishing...charter boats and around $100 + per person. They go well offshore in search of the bigger varieties of game fish. You sit in the chair, and you troll for the most part. We also have drift boats. They operate closer to shore(usually within sight of land) and typically fish the reefs for snapper, tuna, kingfish, dolfin, etc. They usually run $40-45 per person. You get a rod and reel to use, and the mate will bait your hook...the rest is up to you. If you have never fished in a large body of water..the ocean...make sure you pick a day that is not excessively rough, otherwise you will definitely test to stomach. 2-4 ft chop is usually good.

I am concerned about LeBron and Wade health. Those guys are really banged up. If the Heat can get off to a great start and maintain a lead until the 4th period...I think the Thunder will start to fold. The series isn't over yet. OKC is young and streaky. If OKC can win tonight, things will seem much different heading to OKC for the final 2 games. If Lebron is able to be LeBron, I think the Heat will close it out tonight. I look for Miami's big 3 to all play well.
  23. The Miami Dolphins will dominate the AFC this season on their way to a Super Bowl victory!!! Ok..let me dream

Agreed Norcal That was a foul definitely..but LeBron also receives the no calls too. I would rather the refs stay out of the action and let the players play. I expect to see OKC going to the rim a lot more in game 4
