There is a trailer repair shop on Sterling road off of I95. I will send you a PM with the details. My trailer had some rust too, they repaired it good as new. Check your axle bearings too. Having a wheel fly off is no fun.

I pulled my PB out of lake Hatch in the Kissimmee chain. I have never fished ToHo, but I believe that you have a good chance at a DD in those lakes. Camp Mack is a great place to stay if you fish Kissimmee/Hatch.

The best places I have found to fish recently are the residential canals, especially after the rains late afternoon.

I would look for another mechanic and get another opinion on what is wrong. Just describe the problem and do not give him your theories. He will sell you a carb rebuild if you suggest it. The problem might be electrical or mechanical too. The price quoted for the carbs rebuild is high IMHO. Just my .02 Good luck.

Man, that could be a big job. There are could be more than you realize going on there under the floor.

Make sure all your plug wires are secure and your gas is fresh. With a motor that old it could be anything from fouled plugs and old wires to electrical problems in addition to fuel pump and carb issues. You may have to get the compression and spark checked to help diagnose the trouble..

I stopped waxing/polishing my vehicles. They look great. I just wash/vacuum them every 2 weeks. Buffing with a machine, I wouldn't do it. Hand application is best IMHO.

Very interesting and informative. My first outboard was a 1979 Evinrude V4 140 on a Formula, so I guess I am a Johnnyrude fan too. I few years ago I boat a procraft hull that was rigged for a Merc, so I went to the dark side. The Johnnyrudes are lighter on the transom I have heard. Very impressive. I am curious, how much additional power can be squeezed out of a 1987 150 HP (standard motor) 2.0 Mercury when rebuilt? Would it make more sense to rebuild a 2.4L, or 2.5L?

My son just bought a 1999 F250 V10 with 90K miles. We changed the oil and used the correct weight 5W30 synthetic blend. The original oil looked like conventional. Will we have any problems?
