Painting A Bassboat??
Marine paint is very toxic to your lungs and not cheap as compared to other paints. You will need a breathing mask and protective clothes. If you do not know what you are doing, it might be a good idea to pay someone to do the paint for you. The wrap is a great idea too. My old Ranger needs a facelift, I am going with the wrap method.

Coral Springs Fishing Today!!
LOL. Invasive fish..they got to hear the sound of Mr Sluggo before they passed. Maybe I should keep a few around. Yea, I should have just feed them hot dogs to fatten them up, until I need them.

Man, get a grip Tony. Just use common sense and decency and you will not have any problems here. The system is fine if you stay within the rules.

Coral Springs Fishing Today!!
Indeed. I have caught and killed 30 + from the canal system and small ponds from the old golf course behind my house since the AP tourney. The canals were very low before the rain so they were easy to spot.

Help Needed For Fishing Lox
I can't give you specifics, but here are a few generalities from my experience there. I have not been out to Lox in a couple of months. The rising water can help you get into the trails and across the hydrilla, but it tends to spread the bass out IMHO. Stable water level seems to be the best time to fish there...probably because of improved clarity as well. When the flood gates are open, letting water into the preserve(usually out west or up north), the areas near the gates can sometimes be productive. I suspect because of higher oxygen levels and incoming snacks.

Nice snake head. The canals near my house used to be loaded with them...not any more.

Holy Cow Holiday Park Is Horrible!
Ever since the powers that be had discussions about taking over Holiday Park, the fishing has been terrible.

Good Park For Fishing (Ft Laud)
My former club used to have a fishing day once a year for the kids, held at Welleby. No fences at that time. I have not been there for 2 years, so you might want to drive over there and check it out before loading up the gf and kids.

Good Park For Fishing (Ft Laud)
Sunrise has a nice community park. Welleby Park at NW 44th Street and Hiatus. Lots of small bass and bream in the pond. Some facilities (pavilions /grills/ and restrooms) there too.

South Florida Canal Help
Another vote for frogs, and Gambler EZ's. The big worms are also ready when I come across the right spots, and when I have the patience.

Disappointed And Getting Frustrated...
Don't give up. I had the same experience at Blue Lagoon lakes my first time there. All I caught was a submerged shopping cart. The next time I did manage to get some peacocks. I agree with the part about the peace, and also getting closer to nature for a few hours. Most of the time I am happy just to be fishing, catching is just a bonus. Tourney's are different though, a different mindset.

Rip Adam Yauch Aka Mca Of Beastie Boys
- Ticks!! Any Precautions?
The pesky accoutrements on the man gear are a definite turnoff for the wife.- Ticks!! Any Precautions?
Putting duct tape on my stones...lol..... some kind of a hardware store Brazilian!- Ticks!! Any Precautions?
When I used to do a lot of camping in central Florida, sometimes I would find one near my "mighty oak" or parts south of there. What is the best way to remove them if they are already attached. Just pull them off? Touch with a smoldering match head, oil or lotion?- Engine Takes Forever To Get Started
If the motor has carbs, you have to prime the motor with the enrichener for 3-5 seconds, and then move the throttle halfway to give some gas(in neural). My 1987 Merc starts every time this way. Once it fires, pull back on the throttle.- Top End Speed
If the boat is out of warranty, you might have to live with it, or try to lightly repair it.The pad on my 1987 Ranger 373 has gotten a lot of use in shallow water, so it has quite a few scratches and wear. The boat still does 57-60 MPH with a 150 Merc on the back. I am sure the boat probably was faster when the hull was new and the pad slick, but the boat gets me there safe and sound. 57 -60 MPH is plenty fast enough for me. Regarding your boat, if the motor checks out, and nothing can be done about the hull except for repair, try to remove any extra gear that you don't normally use. Keep one live well dry if not in use. A couple of hundred pounds here and there can really affect your speed. For example, when I bought my used 1987 Ranger 373 I told you about above, was completely stripped(no trolling motor or extra batteries, or gear) just the motor, 5 gallons of gas, and me, ran 68 MPH at 6400 RPM. Once I loaded it down, now it runs 57-60 at 5800 RPM.- How Many Eggs Does It Take.....
As a kid we would visit the family farm in Georgia. Going out first thing in the morning to the chicken barn and collecting the eggs was always a lot of fun. Fresh eggs over easy. Yum.- Junior Seau Dead
WE loved Junior Seau in Miami. Even though he went to New England after a couple of years, I was happy for him having a chance to get a ring. A great player and a man in the community. RIP- Top End Speed
Another thing you should check is the throttle linkage. May the throttle cable is not adjusted correctly for WOT? Definitely need to verify or replace the tach.- South Florida...broward County
Good suggestion. Yea, that canal that runs west off of US 27 toward the Holeylands/Rotenberger ramp is very accessible and fishy looking. - Ticks!! Any Precautions?
