104 Today

Geez, I can't believe the heat, and it's forecasted to reach 107 by Wednesday. My air conditioner is internally hemorrhaging. I expect my next electricity bill to approach the National debt. Anyone else feeling the heat?

Yea, we had a brief cool down today, but its been one of the warmest and driest springs/summers so far I can remember. Supposed to be 100 here Thursday and stick in the 90's for awhile.

So take her easy, heat kills more people than the cold does I hear.

It is hot here in Southern Illinois and getting hotter over the next several days, with temps in the 99-103 range. I am fishing a tournament Saturday for the first time in years, and the temp is going to be just about the surface temperature of the sun. Should be a lot of fun. :rolleyes7:

Similar temps here and the AC at work has decided to start acting up. Ohhh not the whole building though. Just my floor on my side of the building. Really looking forward to tomorrow ....... :cry4:

It's better than 10 degrees day after day.

It's a lot easier to cool off than get warm.

I love it when summer approaches and we hit that first triple digit mark here in the south/ SW. Its like everyone forgets that from late june to late september it is triple digits just about every single day. I hate it just as much as the next guy but im not surprised. Im sure i will be a little more willing to complain when my electricity bill comes in next month. My wife liukes to set the A/C on 72 when we go to work. When i get home in the evening it has been running all day and says 77......All my hard earned tackle money spent on cooling an empty house.Long mike, can bruno make a pit stop and have a chat with my wife?

listen I have you all beat its 99 right now and only 8am I just got done telling my wife todays a cooler day only 113 and im gonna go fishing so im not in the heat!!!

and what u cant see as the days go higher and higher end of next week back into to high teens low 120s...... but our AC kicks ass its actually cold in my barracks I sleep with a thick fleece blanket cuz it gets cold in here till u wake up at 3 to pee and have a heat stroke when u walk outside to 100* temps lol

I expect the heat this time of year, but the drought is tough on my garden and the local

ponds. Normal precipitation is about 3 1/2" for the month and 28" year to date. We have

had just a little over an inch in June and less than 14" for the year. I was really hoping

Debby would track north and give us some much needed rain.

RW it is the same around here. Lake levels are way down and crops really need some rain. An easy day or two of rain would be be nice. Nothing in the forecast though... The new forecast for Thurs and Fri is highs of 105!

49° in North Jersey when I got up this morning. Supposed to hit 90° on Thursday. Go figure.

Funny it has been hot here in North Texas but we also have been getting a lot of rain so everything is growing like crazy.

My grass is dead! Its nice though because it doesnt need cut. LOL We should be seeing 100+ later this week. Usually for us it seems this weather is Mid July-Aug.

I've been on vacation in Orlando since the 15th. We had awesome weather until a couple days ago, then rain, rain and more rain. Thanks Debbie. Just talked to my father-in-law at home and the forcast highs are 100 -105 degrees! He says it's drier than a popcorn fart up there too. No rain in the forecast. Crops are pretty much cooked.

68* here in CNY. pretty chilly actually with the wind

Hit a hunnert here yesterday, last year it didn't hit a hunnert until July 7. Last year was a very long, hot, dry summer. I'm hoping this one won't be worse, but it's looking that way. And yes, Arkansas does have hot summers, but not this hot. The forecaster says we're going to set records for highs every day this week if the forecast holds up. No rain in sight and we need it.

And the bass are already starting to think it's August. Time to break out the night fishing gear.

It has been in the mid 80 with rain and clouds all week here in FLA. Those 100's are brutal..especially in locations that have snowy winters. Keep cool...

It was 111* here yesterday and it's the same today. We get a break tomorrow though, it's only supposed to be 110*.

Thanks a lot.

Tom

Clayton, I can relate to what you are saying. Back in the 70's I lived for a year in Dubai and for three years in Iran. The summer heat and humidity are brutal, until you adapt. i remember the first day I stepped off the plane in Dubai. I thought I was standing in the plane's jet wash, until I realized the the engines were shut off.
