Shorter Frog/Jig Rod
I picked up a Falcon Lowrider Headturner and love it for frogging. It 6’10” heavy with a fast action. Makes casting a breeze. It’s light too weighing in just under 4 oz. And retails for $129.

Why do I spend $$ on “nice” reels??
I have experienced the same “quality “ issues as Ammo in the same model/size reels. Both Daiwa and shimano. Some are smooth and quiet while others are not as.

What’s night fishing like?
I used to do it a lot but don’t do it much anymore. Age and bad night vision. That being said a lot of great info here. Single hook lures, no trebles. Black buzz bait, dark toads or frogs, dark worms and dark spinnerbait was always the ticket. That is until a gator destroys your buzz bait.

Fishing. No coffee in the morning.
Large glass of water when I get up and then my cup and half of coffee. Things get moving quick. That’s it for coffee for the day but continue to drink water all day. I don’t do soft drinks unless I’m mixing some ginger ale with Crown on occasion?

Question re: rigging a speed worm
- Backup lures
When you buy lures, do you buy a single lure in a particular color or multiple colors? Also do you only buy one or get a backup? Me, because my wife fishes with me, it’s at least a backup otherwise I’m handing the bait to her if it’s the hot bait that day? And more times than not, it’s a couple of colors in said bait.- Trolling motor choices
Agree MP. I really like the Garmin Force anyway being brushless and somewhat able to go into saltwater if needed.- Trolling motor choices
Garmin up front. I’ve looked at the Garmin Force and like it but pretty pricey.- Trolling motor choices
Guys , looking for advise on trolling motors with some specifics. Foot controlled, spot lock and possibly with lift assist. 24 volt with 80# thrust. The most important feature I want is spot lock, followed by foot control. I’ve had I Pilot with the hand controller remote but that doesn’t work for my style fishing, hence the foot control. This will be going on an 18.5’ flats boat. Because of the front deck design, I cannot install a recessed pedal tray so foot pedal would need to be as low as possible. I have a bow mount hand operated Minn Kota 24V/80# with a foot button on it. And no I can’t afford a bass boat to make this choice easier ?- Hair jigs
Thanks guys, got what I needed from Dale Hollow tackle- Hair jigs

I checked TW but a lot of theirs were heavier.- Hair jigs
Where are you guys buying your hair jigs? I’m specifically looking for 1/8 to 3/8 oz in white or Shad (2 tone) colors. I've looked around and find a lot of the darker colors and heavier weights but not a lot in that size and color range. Thanks- Everglades bass tournaments
What Dwight said. When I lived down there, we used to have them at Holiday Park, Sawgrass Park and on the Alley. They still have at Holiday and Sawgrass.- Most disappointing lure

Exactly Tom. Caught 2 last week that had crawfish in their mouths. They were orange color but I know that’s a common color after they have been “ consumed “.- Craw baits colors
Lots of bait colors to choose from. These are some colors just in Mississippi. Here in Florida our most common is blue- What was your PB caught on?
I resemble that remark ?? - Backup lures
