  1. What is everyone’s take on using bass jigs or creature baits with casting or spinning set ups? I know casting typically reels faster but what advantages/disadvantages do you see with both type of setups? Im setting up both using braided line with leader. #2 question is I understand the advantages of a fluorocarbon leader, but why not a mono leader with mist green line?
  2. I got some new stuff to try. Anyone used this stuff?
  3. Lol funny you say that.... had one break yesterday on the cast.
  4. Ok thanks! I thought it had a bluish tint that could be seen in the day. Some guy fishing next to me had that and it was easy to see. Probably just get the green then.
  5. Does anyone know the difference between these two? I have the floroclear on a spinning reel and haves noticed it’s getting extremely rough to the touch. No longer smooth feeling when reeling between the fingers. That is the entire line and have only used it a few times and it hasn’t been on that long. I have the CX on baitcast and it seems to not hold a lot of memory. Been on that reel for 6months.
  6. Anyone tried this? Got any idea about this blue fluorescent. Is it a bluish tint that can be seen easily in the sun?
  7. have you ever tried that SOS line from Walmart? It's cheap. I like it because it can float and when using Powerbait eggs or worms it's beneficial. I use 4 lb and have no issues with trout seeing it. It's also mossy green which is beneficial. I use it in stocked fishing river so they have seen anything and everything.
  8. Who else is ready for March 1 and the beginning of trout season? I started using powerbait eggs (white) with 2 or 4 pound test and no splitshot or weight. 2 of them on a small size 10 or 12 hook. The float on top and the fish just love them. what are you all using?
  9. I’m here for that Chief’s Kingdom!!!
  10. I wanted something that holds tackle boxes flat rather than on their side. Tired of my hooks jumping from one section to the other. I believe that backpack accomplished that. I like how I have room for sweatshirt and anything else I may need. It’s good for me because when I go out of town I never know what I’ll be going for and it’s easy to carry between places and throw on the boat or carry to the shoreline.
  11. Alright. I got this today at Academy. This thing is awesome. Holds 4 large tackle boxes (3600 size). I am able to put several spools of fishing line. Can put more utility boxes as needed. It is also amazingly comfortable to carry on your back. It has padding on the back to help protect the stabbing in your back from anything. Check it out! $50 worth it. Also has cloth small pouch on top that I did not show that you use to keep sunglasses in.
  12. I have to try this.... It's easy to get a hold of from Walmart and everyone talks highly about it.
  13. Was on sale over Black Friday. Probably $15. @FishDewd you mentioned Keitechs... they like those only bass pro brand.
  14. Got a new bass fishing lure kit for Christmas. Ready to get out there!
  15. Anyone know of any good free fishing apps? I heard someone using one that tells the best times for fishing based on weather forecast. Let me know what you all use, if any.
  16. https://www.academy.com/shop/pdp/h2o-xpress-premier-baitcast-reel#repChildCatid=5113054 Academy has baitcast reel for sale $30
  17. Jealous lol I hear ya I really do. I just like watching shows and buying the baits to see if they work.
  18. check this out.... I may go with this.
  19. Watched review on this. This may be where I go. Got big pocket on top for small plastics or smaller utility boxes. I like the designated spot for pliers. Has a rod holder for those rods that can break down.
  20. $10 at Walmart in the camping section. I have one large utility box for jigs. 3 medium for hooks, weights, and cranks. The cheap $4 double sided Plano box at Walmart for little pan fish jigs. Works good. Could use another compartment but it is what it is.
  21. Ya the only thing that sucks is it’s disorganized. I got several size so I know what is what. Other than that it wouldn’t be bad.
  22. I may just use this. $10 at Walmart. Numerous size utility boxes and ziplock baggie full of soft plastics. I just need something that I can put all my stuff in. When I go fishing I never know what we may be going for.
  23. I believe academy carries one much like that one. $20 https://www.academy.com/shop/pdp/plano®-magnum-hip-roof-6-tray-tackle-box#repChildCatid=11944 Here. @Log Catcher
  24. What is your tackle box that you use? Looking at getting something that can hold a little more. I seen this at Walmart. It’s $40.
