I actually have a Force that I love with no issues but it is the one made by Mercury.

I have a Presedent xt , supreme, and supreme xt and have no issues with them except the President xt had a knob issue and I replaced it. Good reels just not as good as my Daiwa's in my oppinion. Just not quite as smoothe.

We had a lake manager at our local state lake the fished his spinning reel that way on purpose and caught thousands of bass that way. I still don't know why he did it but the results worked for him.

For you guys that actually fish the free rig is it something that will produce numbers or quality? Tell me your setup for spinning gear, Type weight and size and best bait that works for you. By the way I am a Zman fanatic and i fish light tackle.

To Answer your question I use Seaguar Invizx I only finesse fish so I use a leader but I do so not just because of the low visability but if it hangs up I can break it off easier. I think sometimes line visibilty and the sizeline matters and sometimes not but I always use a leader.

FG for braid to floro leader and Palomar for the lure.

I use the daiwa arid x also in M/L. Tackleware house has them . I don't think you can beat it for $59.00

Location of bass is the key but its not everything Lure, color ,presentation, direction of cast , speed of retrieve and rate of fall all can can mean the difference in a couple of bass and multitude of bass caught.

I live in South Mississippi and when a Hurricane is coming in if its not so bad that i can fish i am out there those fish are crazy and some of the best fishing.

Yes thats it. I am not having twist from just normal fishing only when i hang a fish and fight him in and it seems the smaller fish are the worst. I fish a Zman worm and it gets to be a mess trying to get it all untangled.

I have been catching some fish on a drop shot and I am wanting to know if the hooks with the swivels work as good or better than tying the hook directly to the line? I am getting a lot twisted and tangle line when I catch a fish and he comes out shaking not while fishing but during a catch. Is this just a issue with using this technique?

Daiwa Tatula Rod and Fuego reel.

I use Diawa tatulas and Rebellions in Med/Lite and also have a med in those that works great too. If your use to the bigger rods I think a med is probably going to be better. these or 150 to 200 dollar rods.

Winter fishing is the best. Nobody on the lake but me and my fishing partner, sometimes another hardcore guy or a crappie fisherman. We love it. On our lake everyone beats the bank and we fish out deep. If we see another boat at the ramp we will say wonder what they doing here. LOL

Love my Tatula LT fishes good. I have no complaits.I don't know if comparing a Tatula to a Vanford is apples to apples but the price difference may be a equilizer.

My fishing partner and I was fishing the other day and we both was fishing a light Texas rig. We were in his boat so he is in the front and I the back. he was using a 1/16 oz weight and I decided to just use a 1/32 weight. He caught 8 and I caught 20 . Both of us using the same hook , worm, worm color, line, line weight and brand line. He is in the front of the boat and should have caught more than I which normally is the case. The only difference being the weight. I learn something that small changes sometimes do make a difference which I always thought was a little over kill.

All mine except one are ML . You don't horse a fish to the boat with a ML you guide him to the boat is the best way I can describe it.

Myself braid to leader is the way to go. Change your leader if you like to match what bait and technic you are using. I like 10lb braid to 10lb floro or 8lb floro. You will figure out what works for you over time. Oh don't forget about setting your drag.
