  1. Heat shrink works the absolute best to me> the crossover rings are good as well as the o rings but when the fishing is tough i go straight through the weighted middle of the worm not the length middle .
  2. I know a guy that fishes the full moon in the winter time and catches huge bass. Who would have thunk it. He was actually new to bass fishing when he started doing this not knowing any better. It just goes to show you we don't know everything. I always fished nights in the summer cause thats what I was told was best.
  3. Diawa Tatula 6' 10" Medium 1/16 to 3/8 oz. lure . This is a great rod for sliders and any other technics. Its light, sensitive, and tough. If you can affford a tatula reel to go with it you want regret it. Until you have fished these rods you can't understand how good they are. I have used the Medium lites also but this 6' 10" can drive the hook in better to me.
  4. I have both the Rebellion M/L and the Tatula M/L you can't go wrong with either.
  5. That whole energy theory is just hard for me to believe to be honest. I see bass jump 2 feet out of the water to eat one dragon fly . If the whole energy thing is true a dragon fly must be one more energy packed insect.
  6. Go get a Daiwa Tatula for 160 you cant beat it. They are great rods. I have bought some of the higher priced rods and still like the Tatula with cork handle the best.
  7. You are blessed to have friends like that. You get to have the bass fishing to yourself. Enjoy !!!!!
  8. I Broke one by poking it down in the water to free it from a snag but the other I had a fish at the boat and was reaching to get him and he lunged down under the boat and I guess I had to short of line out and the bend radias was to sharp and it snapped like a twig.
  9. I was bragging to a buddy of mine a couple of months ago about not ever breaking a rod while fishing. Well now have broken not one but two . Y es one was my fault but the other not. When will I ever learn to keep my big mouth shut. LOL
  10. I have a tatula 6'10" med with the cork handle. Its a great rod. I also have 7' ml of the same version. They are great rods for the price.
  11. Bottom up and I have never had to retighten any of my daiwas that I remember.
  12. Daiwa Rebellion 7' med/lite or tatula
  13. Woo Wacky Jighead is the best to me. The weed guard actully works and i have had good hook up ratio. It will hang up but not near as bad. as some of the others.
  14. I use them and like them myself . I have had no issue with not getting bit . I used electrial heat strink before I bought the crossovers and the heat strink actually saves the worm longer because you can cut it wider so the pressure of casting and fighting fish is not right in the middle of the worm so they tend not to break off as bad but hye crossovers do a good job. The one thing I have noticed about the crossover is that I have not had a fish swallow the hook yet thats with about 150 bass caught using them. I think it would last as long or better than O rings. I use them with flickshack worms.
  15. I have Powel Endurance that I like also daiwa Taula is great.
  16. Dido on the 7'1" Tatula M/L great all around rod too for finesse fishing.
  17. It Does Thanks . I love my Tatulas they are tough little rods.
  18. I am thinking about buying the new Expride spinning rod in 7' light fast tip with line weight of 3lb. to 6 lb. & lure weight 3/32oz to 3/8oz. I fish a Daiwa Tatula Med light 7" fast tip with line weight of 4lb. to 10.lb. with lure weight 1/16 oz to 3/8 oz. Does this mean the Expride may be a stiffer rod or should I say more toward extra fast tip?
  19. Your profile says your in Texas> Has the lakes and rivers frozen over?
  20. Planning on not buying any fishing gear this year as soon as my Tackle Warehouse order gets here. LOL
  21. I have the rebellion in medium and its a good rod the tip is faster than the regular Tatula which i have 3 different ones. If your are using lighter technics say weightless finesse to 1/8 I would go with the ML and if your going from weightless sencos to 3/16 I would go with medium.
  22. Tatula ! Tatula ! Tatula ! Cork handle version. I have had the 7'medium, 7'1" med light and the 6'10 med . The 6'10" med is a versatile rod it is stiffer than the ml so I think if you throw 3/16 oz. you would like it better.
