Had one ,called minn kota and said new boards would not work???

I have a 16 foot with a Minn Kota power drive with the remotes. I can fish all day and still have power. the motor runs almost non stop. this i my second one , the first lasted 15+ years

bought a pflueger summit xt this spring and did not last 3 months. bail broke. Question is i have a sahara 1000fe i use for crappie fishing. its small and light weight and says use mono up to 6# or power pro 10 to 20#. want to put this on Dobyns 704sf but is 10# braid to much for this pole and reel. I fish alot of weed bottom and lily pads so hang up alot. Will it last or should I get a 2500 reel? thanks

I use 2 knots without much trouble. Started using braid this year and bend hooks or break line higher up before it breaks at hook. Have arthritis in the hands and cheater glasses so it is the easy knot to tie. Heck getting old

2015 mercury 25hp tilt and trim. water has stopped coming out the pee hole. Bass Pro 1 hr away said to use air and blow air through it. Did not work. tried several times. One of the guys there that I talk fishing etc to said he uses a thin wire up the tube just dont force it. Did not work either. wait time to get in is like 3 weeks+ Any ideas or mechanics out there the motor was a new left over bought in Feb 2017 Follow up. Just got the motor back from shop the impellor was shot. First question he asked was if i got stuck in heavy weeds which I had 2 trips before. He said that was enough to burn up the impellor so stay out of the weeds

I was recommended by Dobyns to use a 704 sf. I fish lily pad banks with thick grass and edges. The best rod I have ever owned. Fish ned and wacky style, weighted and non. tried a frog for curiosity and worked pretty good. Started using braid again for this and is the best thing for heavy cover.

like alot of others Bass Pro was my favorite Store. Since the merger they have gone down hill. The last big sale i was at the nearest store an hour away an hour after opening the day of sale and they didnt have alot of the things on sale and were not planning on getting any. bought alot online this year cheaper than Bass Pro if watch the sales

just read in Iowa where this same thing happened>they caught the guy and gave him a 300 dollar fine and lost his licence. same guy was caught a few months later again. Most cases the fines are so small its a waste of dnr time but still needs to be reported by everyone. I fish a small lake where nothing under 15 inches can be kept. had a family that was keeping everything. when i saw i spoke with the guy and told him this length limit but did not release. i keep dnr phone numbers on my phone , calling area dnr guy , he was there in a half hour which impressed me. he had the guy release all fish and had him leave the lake.

i have had trouble with this also. a friend told me to use shallow lure and let the line out behind boat and reel back in slowly then spray with line conditioner. works for me. i did notice that if cast out and line is loose before reeling in that this happens more

I have used fluorocarbon and is ok but had trouble casting for distance. never used poly so dont know about it. but tried bass pro braid in 10lb yellow and have not looked back. Love the way you can see it and distance is good. dont use a leader. Caught 5 2 1/2 lb bass the other day on this line. \\

presently have a Lowrance 7x which is a piece of junk. Have sent it in twice in the last year and when can get it to work it is slow and hard to use. I am older and looking for the simplest finder to use. Use it mostly for depth and to locate fish. dont need or want the fancy stuff. would like 7 inch or larger. Any suggestions??

Have tried about everything and use the hop retrieve the most. Surprising enough I am thrifty and no longer use the ned rig hook regularly but use a worm hook with a round split shot weight. Saves the money and works good for me

Anybody fish for bass etc in southern Minnesota, prefer south of twin cities as were thinking end of june. Would like lodging and boat rentals if possible. thanks
