  1. Carolina rig is something that I know about, but have never thrown. I know it is definitely an effective way to fish and will definitely be adding it to the list of techniques I'd like to start using
  2. I know how effective the drop shot is, especially in deeper water. Does anyone use an alternative technique in the same situation? I am thinking about maybe vertically jigging a 3/4 spoon this year to try and mix it up and broaden the endless horizon of fishing techniques.
  3. What's your standard line up for this upcoming 2019 season? As a co-angler (connecticut) I try to have 5 setup's depending on what my boater is planning on fishing throughout the day. Below are my standard 5 setups. Dobyns Fury Spinning 7' Medium Light - Dropshot Dobyns Colt Spinning 7' Medium - Weightless Senkos / Wacky Rig / Tubes / Shaky Head / Ned Rig Dobyns Fury Casting 6'6 Medium Heavy - Smaller Texas Rigs / Small Jigs / Flukes / Spinnerbaits / Chatterbaits Dobyns Colt Casting 7' Medium Heavy Cranking - Anything with trebles Dobyns Fury Casting 7'3 Heavy - Texas Rigs / Jigs / Frogs
  4. i typically have 12-15lb seaguar InvisX on my cranking setup and have not had any issues
  5. i'm interested in the 150 also. I fish the tatula CT's and was looking into upgrading a few. I'll keep checking back here to see what people say.
  6. I recently stuck with mainly YUM brand soft plastics. They have a wide variety of different baits in a bunch of colors which all flat out catch fish, and the best part is almost every single pack is $2.99.
  7. Since the lake's I fish are usually super clear water, I stick with watermelon and green pumpkins.
  8. Hello all, long time bass resource lurker here. Finally signed up to engage with all of my fellow anglers around the country/world. My name is Eric and I live in Connecticut. Surprisingly we have some good fisheries around for greens and browns. I've been fishing on and off my entire life, and finally got pretty deep and serious about it about 3 years ago. Last year was my first time fishing tournaments with a club in B.A.S.S Nation, and let me tell you I am full on addicted. As of now I am strictly co-angling, but have definite plans of investing in a boat sometime in the future (please tell me to make smart financial decisions lol). I consider myself a decent angler, but I am always so eager to learn and improve which is why I absolutely love the sport of fishing! Anyways, that's my intro, I look forward to getting involved. Thanks guys!
