Right Vs Left - Opinion?
it's all personal preference and to me it's the dumbest debate out there and i see neither having a distinct advantage over the other. i prefer having the rod in my dominant hand which is my right and reeling with my left.

WORMS!
EXCLUDING stick baits such as senko's, yum dingers, generals, etc., what are some soft plastic worm's you have a ton of confidence in?

Whopper Plopper, Used As Prop Lure?
i've had some success while fishing it slow with pauses, but have definitely had more success with a straight retrieve

MLF
pretty sure smith lake is primarily spotted bass which are not prone to getting as big as largemouth. that's why the weight's aren't huge

Co Angler Tackle Storage
I Have the Tackle Warehouse Tournament Tackle Bag which is awesome. Inside I fit one Flambeau 4510 Deep Half Tuff Tainer for all of my soft plastics along with three Flambeau 5007 Tuff 'Tainer boxes. One for my terminal tackle, one for jigs chatterbaits spinnerbaits etc., and one for my hard baits. Awesome setup and the best decision I've made since I became a tournament co-angler

thunder cricket vs. jackhammer
exactly why i'm interested to see if anyone has fished it and can compare

VMC widegap worm hooks
i use the lighter wire for texas rigging weightless senko's and other finesse applications, but if i am flipping a texas rigged bait with a heavier weight i usually step up to a beefier hook that i can really lean into on the hookset.

VMC widegap worm hooks
i use mainly all vmc hooks and they have never failed. from EWG, to dropshot and neko hooks. quality is there and the pricing is great

thunder cricket vs. jackhammer
tackletour recently did a review on the strike king thunder cricket and gave it an 8.0/10 which is a great score and mentioned some similarities and differences with the jackhammer. at the $13.99 price point of the thunder cricket, is it worth saving a few bucks or spending a few more on the jackhammer? personally, i've stuck to the original, elite, and custom chatterbait's and have had fairly good success, but i've been very tempted to step it up to the jackhammer since everyone i talk to raves about them being much more dominant that the lower level chatterbaits. let me know what you guys think

Perch Dark Sleeper? Yeah baby!

5 Setups for this season's first tournament
weather forecast for satuday is bluebird with temps in the high 50's with 5-10mph wind. the lake has decent amount of vegetation but i am not sure how much has grown this spring. my boater is an older gentleman who usually doesn't fish much deeper than 12-15ft of water.

5 Setups for this season's first tournament
I have five setups for the first tournament of the season as a co-angler. i pretty much know what i am going to tie on to start on each, but i'm curious to what you guys would do with each setup. water temp's here are 52-55 at the moment. let me know! 6'6 medium light spinning 7' medium spinning 7' medium heavy casting 7'2 medium heavy cranking 7'3 heavy casting GO!

Whopper Plopper 75
yep, same as always. you can always pause and go also but that applies with any of the sizes

Backing your baitcaster line
How much backing do you guys usually put on?

Is a swimbait rod worth it?
i'm not knocking big swimbait fishing at all, but i've caught some of my biggest fish on a 7' medium light throwing small baits! learn your gear and use it properly and the big fish will come. tight lines bro!

Is a swimbait rod worth it?
unless you're fishing on a boat with big swimbaits, i wouldn't personally invest in a dedicated swimbait setup. you can spend your money on more useful setups that compliment your water availability.

Daiwa Regal vs. Pflueger President Spinning Reels ?
almost all of my casting reels are daiwa which i love, but i swear by my pflueger spinning reels. both are great options
