  1. rwally depends on the lake im fishing and what time of year BUT if i had to narrow it down to five... - medium fast action spinning rod for dropshot/ned rig - medium fast action spinning rod for neko/tube - mh fast action casting rod for jigs or texas rigs - mh moderate action casting rod for crankbaits - heavy moderate action casting rod chatterbaits
  2. absolute steal at that price!
  3. What is everyone's preference for texas rigs? I've stuck with EWG's in every situation unless I'm flipping pretty heavy cover with braid.
  4. if you love your daiwa reel now and are uneasy about the abu, i'd say just stick to what you like. i swear by all of my daiwa reels
  5. i cant speak for the champ XP, but i have the 7'3 MH Ehrler and the 7'3 H Omori and they are probably my favorite rods that i own. the tatula elite blow's almost every rod in that price point out of the water along with a ton of $200+ rods
  6. sure it's hard to change when you've learned fished your ENTIRE life based off of the BASS format.
  7. makes me wonder how alpha angler does it with brandon palaniuk. i personally have never seen an alpha angler rod fished by anyone other than him
  8. zoom finesse worm zoom finesse worm zoom finesse worm
  9. you’re right about the switch, i confused him with his brother. a stupid post by him regardless
  10. no one is denying that MLF has more of the big names but he shouldn’t have gone about it the way he did.
  11. definitely not what our sport needs. competition is always good, but when it’s taking shots at another publicly is where the sport will suffer.
  12. straight from his instagram post saying “i’d much rather run with a pack of wolves than lead a hurd of sheep. #majorleaguefishing” what an AWFUL jab at B.A.S.S and terribly unprofessional way to announce a move to a different tour. EDIT: this was not a new tour announcement (since he already fished MLF this past year, which i confused him with his brother). still a petty and unprofessional jab at BASS and anglers who are deciding to go back to the elites.
  13. fantastic news and more to come for sure. i think a lot all of these angler's had a slight reality check this past year. i'm pumped for this coming season!
  14. 20% OFF @ TACKLE SUPPLY DEPOT - great shop / great people!
  15. there are a good amount of clubs all over the state in CT BASS Nation The club I belong to is always looking for new members, but at the moment we are only seeking boaters to accommodate the plethora of interested co-anglers. American Bass Anglers also has a CT Division with tournaments throughout the year if you’re not looking to join a club off the bat.
  16. i figured as much! only one way to find out
  17. 7’2 MH enigma HPT crankbait rod. it’s rated up to 3/4oz so i know i’m probably pushing its limit
  18. i've slowly been switching out my spools for tactical. it's been amazing so far
  19. i RARELY throw crankbaits other than squarebills / DT 6-10's / wiggle warts, but i figure i'll go out of my comfort zone this weekend and throw some deeper diving cranks. going to give a shot at some DT14's and DT16's. what weight line is ideal for deeper cranks? i usually throw my other cranks on 12# p-line tactical.
  20. i’m very interested but odd it only weighs 1/4oz
  21. as would i lol, i was just comparing those two as new age brands that haven't totally established themselves
