  1. spinnerbait. super clear water and toothy critter candy in the clear water up my way. i do throw a chatterbait a lot though!
  2. good enough to get started and learn! for sure
  3. for over a grand you think they would make it not look like an old baseball turned to glidebait.
  4. grab a 7' medium heavy rod and you can use it for almost anything. jigs, texas rigs, worms, chatterbaits, smaller swimbaits, etc
  5. i always have a chatterbait tied on spring, summer, and fall.
  6. rapala shadow rap and strike king kvd jerkbaits are MORE than serviceable and will not break the bank. swap the hooks if you wish.
  7. lakes in CT are notoriously clear and i use all colors depending on forage. shad colors, black, green pumpkin, watermelon, etc. they all work
  8. they are a nice bait, but i've switched over to the berkley power swimmer. amazing durability with nice action in the water
  9. jerkbait 100%. never had much confidence and gave them the time. now they are one of my favorite presentations
  10. always throw as light as possible where you can get away with it! 1/8, 3/16, 1/4 are my favorite to toss

  14. daiwa tatula series casting reels and pflueger spinning reels for me
  15. awesome bait. i've had a bunch of bites on mine and even more followers. gotta figure out a way to get the big girl followers to smash it when it's at the boat.
  16. i think that was his mindset. he know's he's not going to win the tournament but might as well go for the $100k fish
  17. dang, ish monroe finally got a hook into the big ol' bass on a bed he's been trying to catch for two days and she spit the hook. that sucks
  18. how hilarious is david dudley? dude is a wack job LOL
  19. didn't the bass pro tour anglers sign a 2 year contract that is up this year? interested to see how many of them try to re-qualify for the elites after this year (unless they won AOY previously in the elites like palaniuk and swindle have)
  20. my god they're getting awful in so many lakes around me. if i get lucky enough to reel in one of those big stick fish, it's usually loaded with those sticky razor blades.
  21. which do you prefer over the other and why?
  22. a nice whopper plopper 130 to the dome should do the trick! KIDDING! i wouldn't let it bother you too much, like everything else in life, there will always be that disrespectful bunch.
  23. noticed my guide last outing - easy fix? any tips are appreciated!
  24. my home lake (candlewood lake) is fantastic for brown and green bass. you can catch a 5lb smallie and a 5lb largemouth on the same day, any day of the week. #19 on the top 100 lakes in the country this year according to bassmaster magazine
