  1. haha yeah it was pretty much thanking them for the opportunity over the last several years etc. and pretty much on to new things
  2. it’s not my favorite bite, but i think i might have to go with a dropshot. it was one of the most productive baits for me in 2021 through all phases
  3. according to an instagram post by him, looks like he’s moving on from megabass as his title sponsor. rumor going around he’s joining up with a brand of two numbers. he also posted a couple stories with what looks like a googan baits krackin craw in hand (he is good buddies with rob terkla so that makes sense).
  4. biggest of the year for me was a 4.8 lb largie flipping a 1/2oz texas rigged “magic craw swirl” sweet beaver in the grass during an ABA tournament on candlewood lake
  5. tatula ct is as solid of a reel that you’re going to find for 129.99 msrp. you can often find them for much cheaper on ebay pretty often
  6. hard to beat a zoom ultra vibe speed craw when it comes to compact craw baits
  7. id tick the top of the grass with a weightless fluke style bait
  8. i’ve heard mixed reviews. my tatula elites are bar none my favorite out of their selection
  9. interesting daiwa made a bass rod for that application, i don't think i've ever seen it done! i'll be using it for other techniques ?
  10. i'll let you in on a little secret... straight black zoom finesse worm. smallmouth, largemouth, crappie, pike, and every other species will eat it.
  11. recently got a super insane deal on a brand new daiwa tatula elite AGS 6'10 medium extra fast spinning rod which is labeled as a "shooting" rod. can i have some insight on what that is? the only thing i shoot is brass!
  12. i'm in! St. Johns picks are: Greg Hackney Buddy Gross Bryan New Cliff Prince Bernie Schultz
  13. 7' medium Daiwa Tatula paired with a 3000 size reel. 15lb braid to an 8-10lb leader and your jig head weight of choice based on water depth
  14. i've gotten better since becoming more focused on tournament fishing. i tend to buy what i primarily will always throw, but now i just buy in bulk. that being said, i do have large bins full of excess tackle from previous years ?
  15. the % off this year was a lot more than i was expecting! off topic, but i know you like your pflueger reels and i have a couple supreme's available. i'll gift you the 2500 if you cover shipping! merry christmas
  16. tube 100% - you can catch smallies and largies during every phase of the year on them. bed fishing deeper smallmouth with a chartreuse tube is lights out shhhhhhh
  17. VERY good deals. if i wasn't such a daiwa fanboy at the moment i would be buying a bunch of the champion XP's
  18. candlewood is the best lake in our state by far. we had 20+ pound bags of smallmouth come in our BASS nation tournaments this past april
  19. big swimbait? or smaller like a keitech?
  20. sorry for your loss. i hope you catch a biggun for him next time you're on the water
  21. holy moly thank you for the overwhelming amount of responses. 99% of the time i will reach for a chatterbait over a spinnerbait and very RARELY throw a spinnerbait if at all. i elected to go with the nichols pulsator and will dedicate this late summer early fall to gaining confidence with a spinnerbait.
  22. hot snakes and yoga pants are my two favorite
