  1. always great to see another lake up in the north east continue to prove to be a contender as one of the favorites in the whole country. lets go feider!
  2. drop shot with a 4" zoom finesse worm neko rigged yum dinger 6th sense swim jig texas rig worm 1/4oz. vmc swimbait jig head with a berkely power swimmer jackall binksy popper spro frog jackal gantarel
  3. jackall binksy popper has been killing it for me. standard popper with a prop on the rear
  4. another note, randy howell won the 2014 bassmaster classic throwing a dt-6 on this rod
  5. The tatula elite ML casting rod is defintely more towards a medium - plenty of backbone and does not feel like a noodle when casting at all
  6. i'd go to a more reputable rod brand if you're going to be spending $200+ on a rod, just my personal opinion though!
  7. you don't need a huge rod for your crankbaits if your deepest diver is a DT-6. Anything in the 7' range is fine. my squarebill/mid-diving crankbait rod is a daiwa tatula elite 7' ML randy howell shallow crank/jerkbait rod
  8. 7’ ML daiwa tatula elite - randy howell jerkbait/shallow crank casting rod
  9. daiwa tatula elite dropshot/finesse 7’ ML with a pflueger supreme or president xt
  10. pflueger spinning reels and daiwa casting reels. i do have a quantum vapor pt mixed in that i really enjoy
  11. fun to watch a close battle for the lead. fairy wands prevail!
  12. i like my tatula rods AND reels i will keep buying them lol
  13. guy looks like a creamsicle
  14. man i'm super happy with a limit of 5 fish during a tournament.. this guy is laying the smackdown!
  15. i don't have the 6'10 AGS elite but i do have the 7' elite ML and it is one of my favorite rods to use by far
  16. check out 13 fate black rods. they're lime green for your flashy looking needs and an overall super solid rod especially for 99 bucks.
  17. i have 3 in my box that i never use. i always tell myself i'm going to spend a day throwing them around and i never do. MAYBE THIS WEEKEND ?
  18. the dobyns colt is also a good option. i used a 7' medium on the regular last year
  19. my only duplicate setup is a 7'3 MH tatula elite casting rod which I have two of. both paired with daiwa tatula CT's and 15lb test fluorocarbon. that rod is my "all around" stick that i can throw texas rigs, smaller swimbaits, jigs, chatterbaits, etc.
  20. i'd grab another BuCoo SR if you have the $. they perform way above their price point.
  21. i'd go with a heavy rod paired with some 65lb braid especially if you're going to be around pads and heavy grass. the MH would be fine for more open water with a popping frog of some sort
  22. tubes work fantastic for largemouth. my local club has an angler who exclusively fishes them, and is always in the running for a tournament win. he flips and skips docks with them, fishes them around cover, out deep, drags through grass, and every other situation possible lol
  23. i don't fish a hair jig a ton, but i have a few VMC dominator marabou jig's and i've had some decent success on them when fished. pretty sure they're around the $3.00 range
  24. I have both a BPS and a Cabelas exactly a half hour away from where I live, but in opposite directions. The stock at the BPS is absolutely PATHETIC as their racks are constantly empty for days and sometimes weeks. The only time I shop at BPS is if I need something immediate that I cannot get anywhere else in time, which rarely works out because their inventory is a disgrace. I've been to the Cabelas a handful of times and NEVER had an issue with finding anything that I need or want.
  25. my go-to is a 3/8oz. 6th sense divine swim jig in either grass mutant or bluegill fire. both colors represent bluegill and yellow perch which are the main forage in a lot of the lakes i fish. i'll either use a paddle tail swim bait or creature bait in a green pumpkin-ish color and dip the tail end in dip-n-glo
