  1. my stick of choice is 6'6 medium daiwa tatula medium fast casting rod. i throw hard and soft jerkbaits on this rod. there are a ton of other great options, but that is my recommendation around $150.00
  2. i keep it simple and have memorized what i always have on my 9 combos. (3) spinning combos all have 15lb braid to an 8lb leader (2) light crank and jerkbait rods have 12lb (2) all purpose 7'3 mh rods have 15lb (1) 7'1 heavy jig rod has 17lb (1) 7'6 flippin stick has either 17lb or 20lb and i have one extra casting reel with 50lb braid for frogging or flipping
  3. i always like a knew leader knot. i'll have to give it a shot. curious how it is with fluoro
  4. starting to prep and load up for the first couple tournaments coming in April.. added a 3rd fuego LT frittside 5 in spring craw keitech 4" easy shiners and 2.8" swing impact fat's zman trd's 3 spools of sufix 832 hi-vis yellow bunch of mccoy xtra clear copoly
  5. this is almost as exciting as watching paint dry
  6. for bank fishing i'd go with 2 rods medium power spinning rod medium heavy power casting rod lure choices obviously depend on what time of year and what type of cover is off the bank
  7. I highly doubt it. Our BASS Nation state team had questions regarding practice for the regional tournament we are fishing end of June and this was the answer we received.. "DURING THE OFF-LIMITS PERIOD JUNE 13-18 YOU MAY NOT BE ON THE ST LAWRENCE RIVER (US OR CANADIAN SIDE) BETWEEN THE EASTERN AND WESTERN TOURNAMENT BOUNDARIES. DURING THE OFFICIAL PRACTICE AND COMPETITION, YOU MAY ONLY BE ON THE US SIDE TO FISH. IF YOU STRAY INTO CANADIAN WATERS WHILE NAVIGATING THE BORDER PORTIONS OF THE ST.LAWRENCE, YOU DO SO AT YOUR OWN RISK. YOU MAY GET STOPPED BY CANADIAN OFFICIALS AND MORE THAN LIKELY WOULD BE REQUIRED TO RELEASE ALL SMALLMOUTH BASS, DUE TO THE CLOSED SEASON ON SMALLMOUTH IN CANADA."
  8. almost bad as mueller with 3 fish on day one of the 2014 classic....
  9. WHOOPS got the drew’s mixed up ? i meant cook ? too many drew’s in the top 10
  10. pumped for cook on that win! he deserved it. super impressive track record so far in his young career.
  11. i'm really pulling for cook here! hopefully he sandbagged his weight a little like he has the last couple days ?
  12. the fisheries tell you otherwise.
  13. these guys are a lot more patient with 16" largemouth on a spinning rod than i am that's for sure lol
  14. they sure do in my parts!
  15. 95% of the time i throw some sort of green pumpkin color since main forage in my parts are mostly bluegill and perch. once in a while i'll throw a shad color, but i leave those to the spinnerbait. early spring i'll toss the fire craw jackhammer just because i feel obligated ?
  16. drew cook with the dirty thirty on day one! 31lb. 13oz.
  17. am i blind or is there no "weigh-in" section on the new website to live stream the weigh in lol? nevermind, now it popped up

  20. cashion "core" series rods have this nice stamp on their rods
  21. again, that's your opinion and i have mine. my original statement was disagreeing with you saying there is no other rod comparison in the $170 price range which is false lol. i know you're right about everything all the time, but in this case you aren't
  22. thats the exact type of answer i expected from you. i appreciate you having your own opinion, but you have nothing to back up your statement
  23. lol. i'm curious exactly how they "out-perform"?
