my stick of choice is 6'6 medium daiwa tatula medium fast casting rod. i throw hard and soft jerkbaits on this rod. there are a ton of other great options, but that is my recommendation around $150.00

i keep it simple and have memorized what i always have on my 9 combos. (3) spinning combos all have 15lb braid to an 8lb leader (2) light crank and jerkbait rods have 12lb (2) all purpose 7'3 mh rods have 15lb (1) 7'1 heavy jig rod has 17lb (1) 7'6 flippin stick has either 17lb or 20lb and i have one extra casting reel with 50lb braid for frogging or flipping

i always like a knew leader knot. i'll have to give it a shot. curious how it is with fluoro

for bank fishing i'd go with 2 rods medium power spinning rod medium heavy power casting rod lure choices obviously depend on what time of year and what type of cover is off the bank

95% of the time i throw some sort of green pumpkin color since main forage in my parts are mostly bluegill and perch. once in a while i'll throw a shad color, but i leave those to the spinnerbait. early spring i'll toss the fire craw jackhammer just because i feel obligated ?
