The pond still has a few feet of water in it at the moment. There's some fish in it right now. To complete the repair, I have to dig down 6' below the pond bottom to access the 90 at the bottom of the broken standpipe. Which means I must pump it out and if I can I'll place them in my neighbors pond. Our backhoe can't reach it, so I'm shoveling it and it's very slow going.

I've been out fished in my boat by a guy using a $40 combo. I'll never talk bad about anyone's gear. You're catching fish and having fun, that's all that matters.

Yes this was the home of my 13.44. I own waders and a cast net. We'll see. Our neighbor below us has a pond and I may put them in his pond.

Talked to several folks about working on it and they're all 6 months behind. The water is only a few feet deep, so there's no way they'll survive our Summer. Thinking Tiger Bass.?

Few swimming around in there. I tried getting down to them but I only had on knee high boots and the muck is deeper then that. I didn't have time to look below the pond in the woods, but I can alot of nice sized dead fish.

I've lost my big fish producing magic pond. During our recent storms the stand pipe failed. What a gut punch.

I enjoy the show me videos, where they actually show you a lure or technique and then prove it works by catching fish. I'll skip most of the from the shop/truck talk abouts.

I've used and use the SDJ knot for big baits on lines up to 30 lb Big Game and 30 lb CXX with zero failures.

Caught 9 Spots today. The biggest a 3.30 hit a 12" Ol Mag Monster and the others bit the TRD on the Flatlands Wobblehead. Water temp is 63.5 and climbing but the lake's colored up from the recent storms

I fish the 12" Mag Ol Monster on a Gamakatsu 7/0 EWG with a 1/16 - 3/8 tungsten unpegged. I've caught sub 1 lb Spots on the big worm and that's a small mouth.
