  2. Today's big one
  3. Done with deep cranking in my primary lake. Grass grows out to 17' and it's just not worth the aggravation.
  4. Nice! New lucky fishing hat?
  5. That Daiwa Bessie SS is one BIG spybait.
  6. I hear ya, nothing beats a captive audience. Every February & March I usually catch a obese girl or two out of my pond. For a 1 acre pond it's impressive. Took me years of removing fish to get them growing.
  7. That fish was out of my little pond, so I'm talking public water big fish baits. Pond fish don't really count, right??
  8. This a tough decision. A Bull Shad Wake Bull will likely pull my biggest daylight bass but a D & M quad buzzbait in black will be my night-time bait. Can we have a day & night bait??
  9. Columbia PFG
  10. In 2022 I made 70 or 80 full day trips in the boat and 30 or 40 short(hour or two) bank fishing trips to my pond. I'd like to fish more but it takes my back several days to recover after riding waves in my Jon.
  11. I wear a neck gaiter in the cold and Columbia face/neck gaiter for the sun. I catch bigger fish if my face is covered and just look how the sun has bleached my beard, almost looks gray.
  12. My only specialized combos are for frogs.
  13. Brother, I'm sorry for your loss. I know all to well the hurt you're feeling.
  14. Great forum. Full of good knowledgeable people that share a passion for chasing bass. My only complaint is Glen just let's the Bait Monkeys run loose.?

  16. Welcome to the forum
  17. The 100 MPH suit will keep your drawers dry but may be a bit warm in Spring. I fish a lightweight Frabill suit when it warm.
  18. Excellent! Great fishing boat. Bit easier to stand and fish too.
  19. I get what you're saying, so we both may be crazy. I'd say "Be the Bait". But nobody wants to be a 2.75" TRD or Cover Scat.
  20. Yeah. My boat's front deck is like a clown car for 3700's and bags of lures. I detest being out on the water and wishing I had baits that are sitting on a shelf at home. In my defense I don't own every color of any bait, I think. If new anglers pay close attention to what the guys on this forum consistently catch fish on and pick up a few of those baits in colors & sizes that match your local forage, success will likely follow. I fished years with 1 rod, 7.5" Purple Culprits, and a Chug Bug, when my mode of transportation was a bicycle and I caught fish.
