It’s been quite a long time since I caught a new personal best largemouth or smallmouth. 2005 for smallmouth and 2007 for a largemouth. Going on 18 years and 16 years, respectively.

When was the last time you caught a new PB? Largies, smallies, and spots are all fair game here.

  • Caught in 1993= 30 years. I knew when I caught her I would probably not ever beat it, but I am still casting. In fact leaving in half hour to fish the St. Johns River here in Fl.

I guess I have been lucky with more recent PB's for both largemouth & smallmouth. My smallie PB was May 2022 & my largemouth PB was Oct 2020.

Largemouth it’s been a long time. Smallmouth I’m always catching fish dangerously close to PB several times a year. Spots, I caught a nice 19” this summer that was definitely top 3

Last year was my best year by a mile as far as big fish but still haven't topped my PB in Largemouth or Smallmouth.

Can we go by yearly bag ?

2020. LMB. Between 6-7 lbs which beat my old PB by over 3 lbs.

But I had been away from fishing for about 25 years, so that had a role in it.

Both in 2022. Smallie went 18" from a creek I could easily cast across. No official weight on the top largemouth, not sure if it beat 5-06, but if not, I put the 5-06 on the bottom.

December 2020 for LMB and haven’t really kept track of smallmouth good. Nothing big enough where I’d want to keep track and haven’t caught a whole lot of em.

Yeah sure I’ll post some PB photos again

If I like a single post in this thread, I'll burn all my likes lol, just know I like every picture posted of a big fish thus far and going forward!

Love me some big Bass pics, you can see the pride and joy such magnificent fish elicit from otherwise stoic adults ?

And just because it so unusual, on 30 Apr 2019,  I landed this brute of a Musky on 10 lb FC

while throwing jerkbaits for brown bass.  Fight seemed to take forever and I had to us every trick in the book to be able to get my hands on this magnificent Beast.  Even had to make up a few.

It all worked out in the end as I was able to hold & safely release this 48 inch stunner.

Well it’s obvious already here that my 18 year PB is clearly the longest individual drought out there.

@WRB may have a lengthy period of time but it would be virtually impossible to break those PBs he has.

My PB largemouth of 8lbs 12oz came in spring of 2003. My PB smallie was just under 5lbs..think it was spring of 2008.

My PB drought is going on 20 years so now I'm officially the worst fisherman here.

I'm about 353 days from my green bass pb, and just shy of 12,600 days since my brown bass pb.

Thats 2/12/22 and sometime in August of 1988.  I need a menderchuck.biggurl2.thumb.jpg.38084f36ccd4d8e5fb29e88647471924.jpgbiggurl1.thumb.jpg.1aa94229e18c0126dbaa24a51a108a67.jpg

Spring 1997 I caught my PB, 8 lbs 8 oz. 25 years ago...

Holy cannoli when did get I old enough to say 25 years ago

Every summer that I fish, I catch smallies and largies that run from 19" to 21.5". I don't weigh them and I don't catch any bigger, so one of those 19-21.5-inchers was the heaviest, but I don't which two. What I'm saying is that I might have caught my biggest bass 30 years ago and I might have caught my biggest smallmouth or largemouth in 2022.

July ‘21. 6.1lb, 21.5” smallie.
