I've lost my big fish producing magic pond. During our recent storms the stand pipe failed. What a gut punch.

So sorry to see this brother!

Hopefully you can get it fixed, and if so you can look forward to that initial boom period after the first several years for big fish.

All the fish die?

That sucks…

Isn't there enough water to hold the fish until a repair can be made ?

That sucks, but think if it as maybe a good thing. With the water as low as it is you can set up some dandy structure in different spots, so when it does come up you’ll have some bass magnets to hit.

Few swimming around in there. I tried getting down to them but I only had on knee high boots and the muck is deeper then that. I didn't have time to look below the pond in the woods, but I can alot of nice sized dead fish.

Can only imagine the pain friend.   It will get better, and you'll find a silver lining in time.

Talked to several folks about working on it and they're all 6 months behind. The water is only a few feet deep, so there's no way they'll survive our Summer.

Now that's the type of silver lining I'm talking about ?

As mentioned above, now you can set/create some really awesome and permanent structure, cover, and bedding areas in there.

Pond Boss just put out an awesome video showing some examples of it.

That pond will be magnificent again!

This is sad and really hate to hear that fish may suffer.

Didn't you catch a 13lb fish from this pond?

What's the chances of moving fish before the summer heat ?  Throwing a net ?

Yes this was the home of my 13.44. I own waders and a cast net. We'll see. Our neighbor below us has a pond and I may put them in his pond.

Man, that's sad. Keep us posted on your efforts to net and move the survivors.

Help to build it back better than ever! Put some man made cover/structure in there and although it'll take a while, the big'uns will be back!
