  1. If all else fails l do 2 things. Slow it down to the point of deadsticking the bait (senko or Fat Ika) or speeding it way up with a "burner" type spinnerbait. A good shakey head set up will put 5 in the boat too.
  2. Alot depends on how long l fish. Sometimes it takes awhile to get it dialed in.
  3. l wandered out at first lite and was forced to return to my house after only a few casts due to lower back pain.. Anybody else get out?
  4. Wondering if the cold snap will turn on the shad/spinnerbait bite.......
  5. Nice, l had a great morning yesterday at a lake not far from Mercer. Caught alot of my bass on Horny Toads fished in and around the lilly pads in the first couple hours of daylight. A great day to fish even though the bite shut off at 9 AM.
  6. l would be all about it, but l don't have a ride.......

  9. I have caught catfish on jigs, senko's, spinnerbaits and crankbaits. It is very likely it was a catfish. When the 17 year locusts came last i was catching catfish and carp on topwater.
  10. If you guys have yet to try one, grab one . I have the 7'3 med and the thing is a beast. If you have one to sell just give me a holla! Looking for another 7'3 med.
  11. Great rod, lost mine in a boating accident. With it missing 6 inches the thing is gonna be a broomhandle.
  12. The rez is a great fishery. Not alot of shore fishing that would be productive. But from a boat the place is incredible. I hope Quanjig puts in his $.02.
  13. I have the Pro Qualifier 7ft med/hvy and found it to have a stiffer tip than say a Kistler/Shimano of the same rating. Not really a good choice for spinnerbaits but great for jigs and sost plastics. The 7ft medium would be great for spinnerbaits. l picked mine up on a sale, for the price the rod is hard to beat.. Just look at Edwin, he really uses them!
  14. l have heard that but have not confirmed it myself..
  15. Well i am supposed to be in the OBX Saturday! Great! To all that live in it's path, prayers for you!

  19. Kistler warranty is a no hassle/FREE replacement.....at least the last 3 times I had it done.
  20. Ah, your the guy that said we should get seat belts.....LOL. It's funny now,but that is as close to death I have ever been. Being run over by a boat is no joke. >
