  1. Visited three different lakes this morning. All water levels are way up,but that is what made it so good. Found all fish to be right on the original shoreline that was now 2 feet under. Caught all on a single colorado blade spinnerbait. Black seemed to do better than chartreus. Total of 17, 15 over 14 inches and largest in the 4.5-5 lbs range (sorry,no scale). A great day to say the least. I had always avoided fishing after a huge rain, now I know better.
  2. I'm a Chiefs fan win or lose........Today was a part victory and part loss. If you know what I mean.
  3. What depth did you get these fish?
  4. That is the dedication that I'm talking about and the answer you seek!!!
  5. I found them to be on the spinnerbait bite today too. I was at one of the local ponds/lakes and was able to knock the fire out of them in one area with a bluegill patterned spinnerbait. Good to see them back on the spinnerbait.........A little early to call it a fall pattern..... :-/
  6. Some 7 elevens and Wal Marts carry them. So does Dicks.
  7. Being a ASE certified master tech. I really hate to say it, but!! I will never own another GM product again. The Honda, Toyota and Nissan are beating the pants of American manufactures in performance and quality. Buy the Toyota.
  8. I will be "drive past it" and going to Greentop!!!
  9. Screw spinnerbaits, I'm throwing paddletails! same here, swimbaits all the way =D! Had a ton of luck with swim senko's last year, maybe try some mattlures this year for another lunker at pocahontas Throw a swim bait for 30 minutes then throw a spinnerbait for 30 minutes. Go back and forth and let me know what catches more fish in the fall.
  10. Hands down it would be a spinnerbait!
  11. I seem to remember that you have to earn the right to play in the NFL. Any team that signs him is making a huge mistake. He lost the right to play in the NFL. GO CHIEFS!!!!
  12. Are you fishing the resivour? If so, I might be able to help.
  13. It has always been mid - late October when to "feed" seems to start. It is always a great indicator when the spinnerbait bite heats up. Just wait and see.
  14. If that fish is as thick as it looks in the pic, I would have to say it's 4.5-5. that thing looks like a fatty.
  15. I have never been dealt that kind of hand! That been said, we are all God's children. Jesus went to the cross for the things that we do and God will make it right. I pray for all of you. I am happy to see the guys circle the wagons when things are tough..........Knowing your not alone is a lot of help in it's self.
  16. Nitro is a cop???? :-/ I never trespass!!!
  17. Here is my deal, my best friend knows a guy that lives on the lake and he has granted me permission to fish/launch a boat from his land in the dark. We called him today and I'm meeting with him next weekend...........I have a strange feeling I will have my boat in tow and be wearing dark clothing........I love to throw a big c-rig in the dark.
  18. I plan on "pulling a Rambo" sometime soon. This includes putting a boat in the water. It will be at night. I have mastered trespassing!
  19. The water period is off limits. It belongs to the city of Manassas and they are unwilling to talk about the matter at all. I know a couple of guys that ignored this and paid for it!
  20. I tend to just look mean as $h!t and that seems to fend off any rudeness.......LOL And I have no problem with telling someone to get it in check! 8-)
  21. I'm looking to hit up that private lake you have been fishin'!
  22. That was the first time in Aquia for me. I used to fish closer to DC back when I had a boat.
  23. I meant the mouth of Aquia and the River itself. Aquia is a feeder of the Potomac, just like Occaquan river, Mattawoma Creek and so on. So in that aspect it is not the Potomac river per say. We fished way up in the creek.
  24. Matt, you and your bother are doing great! Putting what I have been doing to shame.......Keep at it!
