Potomac/aquia 8/13 report
We threw spinnerbaits, buzzbaits, t-rigged tubes and creature baits, Senkos and so on. Never even hooked a biggie. We should have fished the Potomac instead!!

Rockfish on the Potomac
A friend and his son caught a whooper under the Chain Bridge I think it was 2 years ago. I did'nt believe his son (6 yrs old, going "it was this big!") until I looked at the picture..........

Let's talk Kistler rods...
I own 3 at the time and love them all. I have the KSBS69 Spinner bait special, no compliants with this one at all. I use it for Spinner baits, buzz baits and sometimes a Senko. I also own 2 LTA's. First one is the He70MC, she's a little soft in the tip. But it does real well for wacky, shakey, light cranks and when it comes to topwater it really shines. The second is the best all round rod that I own, the HE69MHC. If you need a rod that will do it all, this is the rod for you. I'm looking to get either the HE70MHC or the KSS610 next. We'll see when get there.

Brett is a Jet
Just think of all the publicity that goes along with him. I was hoping that KC would pick him up. We need a QB, bad!

Gotta love getting a PVC tube in the Mail!
I only feel poor when you or Redline post your hot lick tackle. You put my Kistler LTA's to shame........ :'(

Shimano crucial vs. Carrot stix
The parabolic has a bend to it threw the entire blank, it is very forgiving. It is really light and does not feel like a whip / puppies tail like most crankin rods do. Making it a great light/medium crank bait rod. But like I said before. I'm not much of a cranker, so I traded it to a buddy for a Chronarch and he loves it. I had purchased it at a bass expo for $105.00 and in the frenzy of the moment I bought the wrong one. I had intended to buy the 6'9MH but ended up with the 6'9MH(P). Now I'm the proud owner or the 7'3MH. It is way lighter than my Kistler LTA's.

Shimano crucial vs. Carrot stix
I just got a Carrot Stix 7'3 MH and love it. It is the second Carrot I have purchased. The first was the 6'9 parabolic and I am not much of a cranker so I traded it for a Chronarch. The 7'3 is "all that". I don't care where it's made......... What ever happened to Made In America? Now we are worried about Japan, Korea, China, Mexico and so forth. If you dig it, buy it. If it suits your needs, then it was a great choice!

Preseason Football
Having played football during my youth, I see the value of scrimages. It gets easy running your plays against the same line up all the time. Plus I get a kick out of watching a "walk on" bust his butt to make the team. Oh and one more thing. GO CHIEFS!

Post something about the poster above you!
;DLOL, We just talked about that at work yesterday. Is it my age or my wife? We decided it was my age! > They said I still have water running through my veins......

First question, I'm not telling. Second question, no clue. If you want any info on pre-fishing a tourney, just ask on a PM.

Matt, the "up" river bite as far as I have heard is not there. I was down in the main lake from 6-12 and Pounded it out like Ib] was fishing a tourney and only caught them at the mouth of Sandy Run, it looks like we found something in that area and will see if it pays of on Sunday for my buddy. He will pre-fish it on Saturday and see if it still holds fish, but as far as size this year, it's still very hit or miss. It has been a tough year in alot of places. I hope it turns on in the fall and the spinnerbait bite comes back strong like last year. Oh, one more thing. I did throw the Money minnow to no avail too...... :-/ Tell your buddy good luck gettin there fast....The past few tournaments there have been people sitting on that spot all day long. As well as the roadbed down in Hooes run, but we never make it down that far. Let alone do we know where that roadbed is ;D Luckly he's got one of the fastest boats out there.....

Well, the term would be died by it. Boated 2. But with the times we are in (at war, economy, price of gas, ect.) a bald eagle did a fly by about 25 feet over our heads and made me think about being an American and the right there was all I needed for a great day of fishing.............
