  7. The Spro frog was getting it done when the sun was high in the sky. Look for shade and heavy cover. The more sun, the more they hang in the shade.........Look for mats of weeds.
  8. There is no need to go to a golf course pond. You go to the right locations. Throw a big fish bait. Like a jig or Spro frog. Senkos produce but a lot of lil' ones. A 1/2 jig backed with a stout set up will catch larger fish. Try it a Foutianhead tommorow. Throw it in the thickest stuff you can find.
  9. AH, the look of a proud father.......yet mommy did most of the work. Your in for some great times. I have 2 Girls of my own, 12 and 14. They play me like a bad hand of poker....and I love it. Nothing beats kids, nothing. Digging the tee shirt too.
  10. The heat has been to my benefit. It puts the fish right where I want them. In the shade, up under the mats of weeds. Also puts them on the prowl in the real early hours of the morning. I caught my first fish this morning at 5:45. Once the sun got high in the sky it was weeds, reeds and lilly pads. Landed 13 by 9:30. I love it when it's hot, more so at night......Lake Mannassas here I come.
  11. Matt, where do you live? Maybe we can hook it up next week end. I now where to go.......
  12. Robert, great fish and I'm diggin' the tee shirt.
  13. I'll hire ado124 to be the camera man....... 8-)
  14. Met up with Ado124 from the forum to do a little pond hopping and beat the heat. Hit the water at 5:20 A,M and started out with a 3/8 Booyah buzzbait and landed 4 with in a hour. Switched to a 5 inch Senko and a t-rigged tube and landed 8. Switched ponds and started tossing the Spro frog, missed 3 and landed 1. One of the ones missed was hooked and while horsing it out of the weed bed she came unbuttoned, 5+ easy. Andrew just smiled......Other than locking my keys in my truck, it was a productive day.
  15. I see you guys are looking to make it a tendem swimming event.........I'll wait..................'till the waters are cold!!!!
  16. Trevor, I truely believe that you know better than to get me worked up. >
  17. Your kidding right? ;D That not only would look wierd. But it would feel wierd too......... :-/
  18. I guess BDU's , Harley tee shirt and a gotee to boot did'nt help. It's not like a rolled up on my Shovelhead, slinging beer bottles, firing off lewd jestures and yelling at the tramp I brought with me to put her top back on..............I just parked the Bronco and snuck ever so silently over to the pond and started fishing..........I even smiled.
  19. Avalon, it does suck. But they had a problem with people of all types keeping anything and everything, so in that respect I can see where they are coming from. I think that they are harsh with me more so because of what I look like and I am a bit abrassive........
  20. After suffering a elbow injury, weight of the entire combo has become really important. I had do down size the weight of any combo that I use for pitching a jig, tube or any other soft plastic for that matter. If I could afford it I would buy all Chronarch MG's.
  21. no, public... Ashburn Village will have you arrested for trespassing, they are private. It is posted and the "pond police" can, will and do make sure of it. Beaverdam Reservoir is different than Beaverdam Creek Reservoir.
