  1. When I left Mercer on Sunday, It looked like a mud puddle. That water got real muddy in about 2 hours during the hard rain. The rain and wind kept me from sight fishing, but I located a 7+ pound LMB. It won the short game of tug-o-war, but I'll let her rest. I suspect she is on or near a bed and I will return with the same lure and stouter tackle. I almost wet myself when it broke the surface. Ron can relate to that sensation...........It sucked. Throw in some lightning that came on real quick to top it off..........
  2. Hmmmmmm, I wonder who came up with that idea (thinking)? I wish I had been there.
  3. I'm going to be there in the morning with a couple of buddies, I'm looking to do a little bed fishing if the ladies (the bass) are up to it. I hope to see some of you guys out there.......
  4. Soccplayer, keep an eye out for Mattstrykul and good luck at the tourny. Let me know if you beat my boy Gerkin.
  5. Did I refer to them as lakes? They are ponds with out a doubt. The one Ron fished can be covered from one side pretty good if you can thread the needle when needed. It's long and skinny, but holds alot of good size bass. It is a confedence pond for me, helps me get back into a rhythm. I'm glad to see you caught some keepers. How long did you guys fish it and did they hit the spinnerbait? They hit the spinnerbait the other night until my arm got sore.
  6. I can't go, but where you headed?
  7. Hey Bassn, can you send me a slice of that heaven? That place look great.....Nice looking fish too.
  8. The path is a gravel road, smooth and flat. Once I get my/drum's jon welded, i'll be slinging it in all those places. My jon is the lightest I ever seen. All I need is 2 bike wheels and mount them to a axle and strap it to the boat, Wala!
  9. Caught my PB out of there a couple of years back. Be REAL careful of the poison ivy and the snakes in the rocks on the dam.
  10. Ron, the water had it's normal tint except for the stump area which was tinted/muddy. As for parking, I have always parked off of Wagon Trail Lane off of Huntsman. It's a walk, but it's flat and you see alot of deer and fox. It's puts me on the side/end of where I like to fish. The guy in the boat last Sunday was in a jon and he had a set of wheels for it. I have put a canoe in there before and fished the stumps until I was blue in the face. I hooked a monster but never got a look at it, around the stump she went and "snap" end of story.
  11. Matt is a tourny fishermen, so I'm going to guess Foutianhead and he went up resevour/ to the right. It seems 75% of the tournies are won up river. Why is that Matt?
  12. When the water is clear at Burke, it sucks. The fish at Burke are so pressured and when you thrown in the fact that they see you too.......Forget about it.
  13. Good job sticking with your game plan. It sucks to catch all those fish without a pig in there.
  14. Wow, they wanted to give you a ticket! Did you guys have any luck? Was the water still clear as gin?
  15. I stand corrected, there was a guy with his 2 boys. But, that was'nt fishing. That was struggling.... . With that kind of wind and no help paddling, that had to suck. I guess catspit was there. But where?
  16. The Citica's are killer, but so are the Revo's. My buddy fishes with the STX and accually complianed it was to free........Go figure. Soccerplayer, seeing how your local, if you want to try something out. Just give me a shout, I seem to own a little of everything. You can try it out anytime.
  17. Nice Matt, how was the water clairity? Same as usual?
  18. I never saw another angler and I was there from 6:25A.M. until 12 P.M................... Oh and Dan is correct about the smallies.........
  19. Ron, it was a dinkfest. Finished with 11, 10 came on a Kanami Flash in blk with blue flakes and one on a spinnerbait. All but one about the size of my hand and the one about 1/2 a pound. I was the only angler at Mercer.
  20. Ron, I got a new phone and it takes great pictures. Where do I get the hardware to down load it?
  21. After seeing Ron post up his PB the other day, it looks like I'm going to hit Mercer in the morning. I lost a MASSIVE bass and went back a week later and I caught my largest of 07 almost to the day of Ron's PB. My luck of catching larger fish lately may pay off. So day break tomorrow it is.
  22. Over the last couple of outings the "ladies" have become active. I can't wait to do some sight fishing in a couple of weeks.
  23. Trever, shame on you...
  24. That looks like Mercer, Nice fish.
