  1. Ron, have you fished there before? I have fished it alot years ago and once no to long ago and have yet to see numbers or size come from that lake. It seems to be pressured as much if not more then Burke. Maybe it's just me.........
  2. That fish was returned to the water after being weighed and 1 picture taken. That fish was long!
  3. If your talking about Beaver Dam Res in Loudon County, it is way-way low on water. You will be walking in 50 yards of mud to get to the water. It will be spring before it's up to snuff!
  4. Well, let me start by saying that "it sucked". With the major weather front and the wind that kicked up. It was not a good choice to be out there. Now that is not to say I did'nt enjoy it. It was good to see Ron again and meet Paul / pkschul. I fished the whole time with Andrew / ado124 and gave pointers and some takle to him. I hope he puts it to good use! Even though its cold, I fish until there is ice. I plan on being out there again somewhere soon. I have a really cool pic of a 9.5 pounder that came from Royal, I just have no clue on how to post it.......I'll figure it out.
  5. Nothing and I mean nothing is better than Black Sabbath!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  6. Off limits............ I'll guess Lake Mannassas?
  7. I'll be on the dam end, think small and slow moving baits..............
  8. Who's in? Ron? PK? It's gonna be good. There is a sweet spot.... If you know what I mean. The shaky head God's will make it happen. I was thinking about 7-7:30, in that area.
  9. Dan, your killin' me.
  10. Thats pretty good for a rookie.......... . I need to carry a camera, that was pretty cool. That biggun' is a nice looking fish. What time of year was it caught , what and what color was it caught on?
  11. PK, Bring your rods with you and I will hook you up with everything else. I have the jig heads and worms needed. Works best on spinning gear with 8 lbs line. Oh and a massive amount of patience.
  12. I'm thinking Lake Royal is a great choice.
  13. Shakey head season is upon us. Who wants to freeze the tail end off this weekend? Landed 8 last weekend, this Sunday looks to be a great day for it.............
  14. Anyone have a review or owned one? Is it a quality unit?
  15. I had the Mag TS All Day Flippin stick (lost it in a boating accident). Loved that rod, balanced and sensitive. Great hook setting power. Had no problems or complaints.
  16. Taylor dies overnight. Talent + youth have now been wasted................
  17. Several of the bass I have caught in Mercer over the past couple of years have had the spots. The 7+ pounder caught early in the spring had them. I have also seen Hank Parker catch them with spots. No biggie.
  18. Crushed 'em, had a good day. Landed 8, biggest about 2. Mostly dinks. Dedicated myself to fishing only the shakey head.Lost a bigun', well over 4 pounds. Thats how it goes.
  19. You can always tell when someone is raised right and Ish is one. I hope to run into him one of these days and see if he'll loan me a Steez or two! :-?
  20. This is the time of year to catch a monster and I'm due for one.
  21. I fished the lower Potomac this morning from 7:15 until 12:30. Shakey head was the key, boated 4 keepers. I'll be hitting Mercer at about 7:00 and coming in on the same side as Thursday. Off of Wagon Trail.
  22. Fishing Mercer in the morning. Who is in? Gonna be a little cold in the morning, but lite winds.
