  1. I think Catt hit it on the head and I believe that it also gets the bass to hold the bait longer. I have been using "Jacks Juice" for years and love the stuff.
  2. I have had this conversation with a Shimano rep twice in 3 months. He explained it to me like this. If you Liked the older Curado, you will love the Citica. If you have money to waste, buy the new Curado. My buddy bought one last Saturday adn it's just like the older Curado's. Casts like a dream and is smooth.
  3. I'm wondering who named the store? Seems to explain alot.
  4. G-man made a mistake. He payed for what he did. We all have pulled some s#*t in our lives. In the heat of the moment your judgement becomes distorted. He is lucky that the boot from the Classic is all he gets.
  5. I totally agree with Burley, I don't think the Linders are that desperate for money..........
  6. I totally agree with DG, Castaway must not have seen my previous post about "kids". I left the wife out of it.
  7. In the area in which I live, Fairfax County in Virginia. The cost of living keeps people like me from being able to buy rods and reels that cost $500 a peice. My wife and I make about 110k conbined and are just making ends meet. Between our 2 girls (Soccer, swimming, piano, violin and now fashion for the oldest), a car payment. A townhouse will run you 450-500k...........I'm middle class here. The Steez is the lightest and smothest combo I have held. But I will have to settle with my Kistler/ Pflueger Summit combo. Poor me! LOL. "RICH ON LIFE AND EMPTY POCKETS."
  8. Zoom Z-nails are great, Case Majic Sticks, Wave Tiki Stix's, Yum Dingers.
  9. I'm using #15 for soft plastics and #12 for my spinnerbaits and buzzbaits. When it is cold,it seems a little stiff. But when its warm the stuff is killer! Has not failed me in the 2 years of using it.
  10. These are great baits. I tested the action in my fish tank and it looks great. I bought several colors and all of them look better than the pictures on the website. The trick to pitchin or flippin any soft plastic, is to lube them up with a oily scent and peg the weight. If you do this, they will slip right through the cover.
  11. I just purchased a Kistler 6'9 Graphite Series spinnerbait rod and love it. @ $129.00 it's a great rod.
  12. I received a Pflueger Summit for C-mass. I mounted it on my Kistler Mag TS flippin stick. It's light, quiet, smooth and casts like a dream.
  13. I ordered a Kistler flippin stick last month and the charge for shipping was $10.00
  14. Rw hit it on the head........
  15. I'll stick with my small block Nova. In a straight line that is...........
  16. Takes balls...............
  17. Cowher's wife and kids live in North Carolina, just watch. he'll be the Panthers coach within 2-3 years.
  18. There is a black guy on the FLW tour by the name of Robert Pearson. I know him personaly and the guy is a blast. He only fishes a limited schedule, but loves the sport like no other. If you see him, talk to him. He's really a great guy.
  19. I will place a small split shot about 6 to 12 inches from the hook while wacky rigging and use a weighted EWG 4/0 hook when t-rigging. This is only if there is "wind". Any other time it's gotta be wieghtless.
  20. 7:1 reels are ideal when fishing a jig or soft plastic. If a bass picks up your bait and swims to you, you'll need a fast retreive to "catch up" to the fish. If your fishing a c-rig, you need the speed to reel down and get a good hook set.
  21. What did they hit? Suspending jerk bait?
  22. P-line has given me nothing but problems. The Flouroclear breaks on the hook set and CXX is like fishing with a slinky. Take RW's advise and stick with the Yozuri. If you feel the need for something tougher, try a braid. Like Power Pro.
  23. I got a Pflueger Summit baitcaster and a Kistler Mag TS Flippin stick...............and some other junk.
  24. TI_bassin, My Summit is the narrow / smaller of the two. It will be paired with a Kistler 7'8 Magnesium TS heavy action "all day" flippin' stick. I was more concerned about the total weight (again, that fit my price range). I have yet to pick the line brand, test or type for the rig. The worst part is Fivebasslimit PM'd me right after I placed the order for the Kistler..........looks like he's got a line on some really nice rods too.
  25. I just received the Pfluger Summit for Christmas. I asked for it due to the weight of the reel (that was in my price range). I read reports and held both the Revo and Summit. Both are "really" nice reels. But it came down to the weight. The Summit is lighter, now I need to find the lightest Flippin' stick in my price range. When your holding a flippin stick for 6 hours straight, weight becomes an issue.
