  1. That my friend is a great fish.......
  2. They do well as a drop shot bait too.
  3. Jimzee, the rods E21 has made with a parabolic action are intended for cranking. The list several on there site, both spinning and casting.
  4. This thread has spiraled out of control..........I have never seen so many unhappy people about "1 brand" of fishing rod in my life. I have combo's that most of you would consider total junk. I own 30+ rods, ranging from Pinnacle , Kistler , Daiwa , Quantum , Falcon , BPS and so on. The thread should be called, "for those who own one, is the Carrot Stix Worth $150.00 ?".
  5. http://www.another site.com/images/store/thumbs/LC-Gunfish95t.jpg Thats the ticket right there. Ghost sunfish.
  6. Here is the ticket. Ghost sunfish.
  7. Alpster, it's actually a '63 Polara with a crossram 426 Max Wedge.
  8. It would be white with red interior, push button auto. Came with a aluminuim front end, bumpers and the body was acid dipped for more weight reduction. Came with slicks in the trunk, mount them on the car and uncap the headers. 11.40-11.20 ET's right out of the box. Looks like grannies ride.
  9. Vekol, I'm sure I'll See you there again. Got some cash burning a hole in my pocket......... I'm sure Greentop will leave me penniless.
  10. I'm going to wait for the Richmond show. The Maryland show has more saltwater stuff than I care for. There is an added bonus about the Richmond show, Greentop will be holding it's Bass-n-more sale that weekend. Greentop is still better than any Bass-a-rama I have been to in the last 15 yrs.
  11. Tokyo, it's good to know I'm not alone.
  12. Tokyo, it's good to know I'm not alone.
  13. American Graffiti.............
  14. Chris, about the weight. It's funny what people think a fish weights when there is no accurate scale handy, the picture and story do not match. Just look at 'Ole Roland Martin "Oh son, thats a 9 to 10 pounder!!! ". Looks to be about 7 on a good day. Get a scale and hang a 1,5 and 10 pound weight from it and see how the accuracy falls of. A $20 dollar scale is not even close to accurate. Even in a tourny last year, my partner and I had guessed in our minds of the weight of the combined fish with out a scale, man we where trippin' hard. Pounds off, thats all I'll say.
  15. Guys, those are some fine looking bass.
  16. The Occoquan Resevour is a great place to fish.
  17. This one is a killer wacky style. http://www.***.com/descpage-RIBB.html This one for flippin'. http://www.***.com/descpageSFWROBO-RWPK.html
  18. I too am looking to get one of the rods, would love to hear a complete review on the rod or combo.
  19. Went down to the Bull Run this morning, only one out there. Fishing was cut short due to a triple lutz into a creek . Got wet from the knees down. Was able to catch 2 lil ones and had something large get off right after the hook set. I was fishing a trick worm and Fat Ika on a split shot rig.
  20. I think my posts are being read as if I'm being an arrogant pr1ck! I'm not trying to out do or down play anyone. Just shedding a little light, I'm saying "don't quit because the bite slowed!". According to a park official, the local public lakes have been stocked with northern strain largemouth. Which in turn make them alot more active than the southern strain during the winter months. It's not even the first day of winter. The water is not as cold as it needs to be for the bite to shut down. We still have warming trends happening, It's when it is real cold for along time that the bass will get lockjaw. Then I will break out the slip bobber set up and that produces alot in the winter. Just got to find a hole in the ice.
  21. The day a Largemouth Bass goes dormant is the day I quit fishing...They still have to eat, not as much because the cold water slows their metabolism, but they still have to eat and will be actively feeding at some point throughout the day. Bass will suspend at different depths in the water column, but never will a Bass go "dormant" Basspro48, you hit on the head. Suspending jerk baits, small jigs and the ole shaky head will be producers this time of year. You may catch only a few, but it is very rewarding.
  22. News flash, the are all frozen. Talk to a few buddies and all the lakes and ponds locally are frozen......
  23. Andrew, I think your dead on about the smallmouth choice. Everyone needs to remember that the "season" is never over!! As long as the lake or river is not frozen, fish are to be caught.
  24. Trevor, the guy in the picture is a buddy of mine. His name is Tom Doyle, he showed me alot about fishing just like Marvin has. His wife passed away and then he move south. I'm sure he's killin' em somewhere else. He had the talent to catch them all the time.
  25. Trevor, I'll beat you over the head if you retire from fishing.......... Dan, if I remember correctly you go to JMU right? When do you have spring break? If your back in the area, gimmie a shout and we'll do some fishing.
