  1. Those are some good looking bass👏🏻
  2. Not sure if it counts but give me a crappie jig any day of the week. I have some form of a 1/16th ounce jig or at least a bare jig head tied on to 1 or 2 combos all season.
  3. That’s really cool CONGRATULATIONS 👊🏻
  4. Ravens at the Steelers…🤯
  5. Although I didn’t watch the whole game I watched enough to realize the Seattle defense is good as any defense there currently is and that makes the offense a seriously dangerous unit as well. I personally think it’s cool seeing Sam Darnold leading them which should make all of you Seahawks fans happy you signed him for 3 years if I’m not mistaken.
  6. @Mike L Well it looks like another Bears vs Packers showdown, only the upcoming match up is for a heck of a lot more than bragging rights 😬
  7. And then I read this and I realize why I don’t Pursue used reels as I definitely don’t break down and service my own reels.
  8. I don’t know why I haven’t pursued this route especially after seeing @MiceNReets pull off some totally killer deals.
  9. I know this isn’t actually football related but is it just me or does anyone else find the State Farm commercials funny? I’m referring to the 2 current commercials with both Patrick Mahomes & Trey Smith and Aiden Hutchinson involving the goofy characters, I crack up every time I see them even though I’ve seen them repeatedly.
  10. Although I have no opinion or vote on this as I don’t own any of the above mentioned, I will say I would be thrilled to receive any of the above.
  11. Oh my goodness that is one of the cutest pictures I’ve ever seen 😃 And knowing cats I’m sure they won’t let you slack in your duties either 🤣
  12. @TOXIC I hope you keep us posted on what you try and ultimately like.
  13. I used 6 pound Yo-Zuri hybrid late in the season and found I really liked it after a bit of break in time. I also used Suffix Advance Monofilament which is also a copolymer in 10 pound and I really like that as well.
  14. I’m going to revive this thread with the introduction of our new foster puppy who we received on New Year’s Eve afternoon after dealing with German Shepherd Rescue which is where our 2 previous rescue German Shepherds came from. The irony is my daughters best friends aunt volunteers with them and it was her and my daughters best friend who helped facilitate this faster than we anticipated. His name is Viko (wife named him) and he’s a Sable colored German Shepherd who was brought into Chicago Animal Control Center via the Chicago Police Department with his 2 sisters and they were euthanizing for space at CACC😢 Needless to say my wife and I would have taken all 3 if needed but thankfully his sisters were also pulled by GSR and fostered as well. He clearly lived a hard life on the Chicago streets and when my wife, son and myself picked him up he literally smelled like he lived in a dumpster but is the sweetest boy with really good manners so far although our 2 cats would probably disagree. Our plan all along after losing Steve was/is to rebuild our pack with 3 rescues and this is the start.
  15. @TOXIC Christmas 2024 my niece and nephews made both PB&J shots which were Skrewball mixed with grape soda but as pointed out by @Junger it’s very sweet and not something I’d indulge in very often. They also made what they referred to as Skrewball mudslides which included Skrewball, Kahlua & Bailey’s Irish Cream mixed in a shaker with ice and served martini style. I rather enjoyed that one especially as an after dinner drink. I was also informed that night although we didn’t partake in this one but you substitute the Kahlua for coffee flavored whiskey.

Although I basically stopped reading books as I said in my response on another post I’m really hoping to get back into it. In response to this thread I would love to re-read my 2 all time favorite books since I was a child, “The Call Of The Wild” & “White Fang” both of which I read at least a dozen times each in my youth. The last real reading I did was the “Jack Reacher” series of books written by Lee Child which my former father in law turned me onto the series and I couldn’t wait for the chance to get to the next novel , I will say I read the series in order as I feel it’s best that way. Prior to that again back to my younger days my father passed on a love of horror novels that always intrigued me with Stephen King being a favorite especially the book “It” which I read while in high school for pleasure and also “Pet Cemetery” & Cujo” as well. It was fun that two of my best friends back then were also avid readers and it was even more fun talking between us about the books as we all read the above mentioned at the same time. Another absolute favorite of mine which although still somewhat horror but more of a modern twist on a classic is the Dean Koontz “Frankenstein” novels from 2005-2011 and absolutely must be read in order, I absolutely loved them all and will reread them all again when I get the chance.
  17. Im going to add I really loved the Blue monofilament when I first received it and spooled it on my reel so if anyone knows of a not extremely expensive monofilament in this color and is willing to share the information I’d greatly appreciate it. Sorry @Swamp Girl I don’t mean to take your post off the rails .
  18. I know this may come across as ignorance on my part but I didn’t know “One flew over the cuckoos nest” was a novel until I just read your response 😬 And before you ask I was an avid reader in my youth up until my early/mid 30’s. I’m planning on trying to get back into it as I really miss slowing down and immersing myself in a good book.
  19. Although I’m not catching monsters by any means I really like the 4 pound KastKing monofilament I’ve had on my 1000 size Piscifun reel for the last 4 seasons and I’m planning on continuing to use it this upcoming season as well. The red color has held up extremely well while the blue color faded/bled out as soon as it hit the water.
  20. Having never been in this position I can’t say what I would do but if he fished the front of the boat the whole time I’m inclined to say no. Now with that said I’m a big believer in you get what you pay for and you need to do some research before making any investment of both time and money. Lastly I will say it’s crazy how smart these phones are as I received an e-mail from another fishing site with an article about becoming a guide right after opening this tab.
  21. I mean zero disrespect here but I for one like the Saturday schedule games. As someone who normally gets up for work between 2:30-3:00 am Monday-Friday albeit closer to 3:30-4:00 during winter the Sunday and Monday night games wreak havoc on me although it doesn’t currently matter to me as I’ve taken some time off. The Saturday schedule allows me to enjoy the whole game and then depending on how invested I was allows me time to wind down and not have to worry about running on limited sleep or not being able to watch the game and participate in conversation about the game as well. I realize everyone is different but that’s my take on the whole Saturday situation.
  22. Again not trying to derail the thread but at my local to me BPS in Bolingbrook, Illinois I was able to take advantage of the trade in purchase on a rod that wasn’t in stock. I received the discount paid for the rod and was offered free shipping to my house or the store. Granted it was a BPS branded rod but when I spoke with the manager he informed me as long as it’s a brand of rod or reel they carry they would check and see if they could get it and again I would have pre paid and had them ship it to me or the store. Not saying this is normal but worth inquiring about if they could if the deal is worthwhile.
  23. I will also add my 90’s St Croix Premier light powered spinning rod was a do all catch everything rod when I first bought it. I loved it then and I still love it now and will agree it’s a bit “dead” feeling which is why I use it for smaller treble hook baits.
  24. I’m not trying to muddy your waters….but the Tatula 80 is currently available for $105.00 in a 6.3:1 left handed at Sheltons or $150.00 in 7.1:1 or 8.1:1 also in left handed versions through Tackle Warehouse.
