  1. Is there any chance the mfg would replace it cause I think you got taken.
  2. I just picked up one of these with recoil guides. I don’t flip. I haven’t had it on the water yet. I’m just wondering how you guys who own one use it. I don’t want to send a bunch of time trying out baits. Thanks for any information.
  3. Super fish congrats. Where were you fishing?
  4. I’ve had the same thing happen with spinnerbait wires. I’ve started wrapping the bend with old braided line. Then I cover the wrap with shrink tubing. It more than quadrupled their life expectancy .
  5. I only look at reserve capacity for trolling motor batteries. I have Optima blue tops 34 DMs on my boat with a 36 volt Minn Kota. They will be 5 years old in a few months. They are just now showing signs of loosing some power but not enough to keep me from fishing as long as I want to. I msy replace them with AGMs from Sam’s club when necessary.

I buy from fishing skirts. I buy 100 tabs at a time. I normally buy several colors at a time. Cuts costs and shipping. It also sets me up for a long time. Go for it.
  7. I used to work at a Lund dealership. The boats came in bare bones. We had to rig most everything. Even the trailer was a separate order coming from a different vendor. Maybe Brunswick has changed that.
  8. If your salesman is worth anything and doing his job, he will have a list for you to look at that will have required and recommended items which aren’t included on the boat. The rest is personal preference.
  9. White spinnerbait... clear water, dirty water, clear sky, cloudy sky, day, night are the good times to use it. Other white baits...anytime you use an Arig.
  10. Have you looked to see what Seibert Outdoors has to offer?
  11. If you aren’t using the 10 setting already switch to it and see if it brings the voltage up.
  12. I’ve had good luck at night using red jigs with white double tail grubs.
  13. I have 844 c and 843 c rods.. I use the 844s for 1/2 and up, the 843s for lighter jigs.
  14. There are so many more options if you do ipilot link and go with the MK. Like suggested research ipilot link. If I had to do without it I might just quit fishing.
  15. Prop out for me, prop in has too many opportunities for damage to me or the boat. If I am using the cover and going far I put a towel over the prop to avoid any wear on the cover.
  16. I thought it looked like a pineapple field in Hawaii.
  17. That is why I didn’t recognize the numbers. IMX was the top of my list. Thanks. I don’t flip so that never entered my brain.
  18. I have a chance to buy a GLX at a good price. I’m not familiar with the letters BCFR is what the guy says is on the rod. Do any of you know what they stand for?
  19. I doubt that they would want it back after you have had it apart.
  20. When I fillet one I only keep the meat above the lateral line. I put the “fish sticks” in cold water and let the meat firm up. Then I take the red out. I like them better than crappie but not as well as walleye.
  21. I use it on the cork handles of most all of my rods spinning and bait casting. I have had some on for close to 10 years. Every year or so I clean them with Totally Awesome which seems to bring back a tacky feel for better grip. Lately I have been buying it from The Mud Hole.
  22. My setups for Ned rigs are 1000 and 2000 size Shimanos with medium light rods and 6# line. I find Senko type baits to be too heavy for these setups so I use 2500s and medium rods for them.
  23. I don’t have any of his heads but I bought a couple of packs of every color grub that they make a while back. I fish them a lot especially in the fall. I use my lightest setups with 6# line. I don’t fish them on the bottom like I do the Ned. I use homemade heads either ball or minnow in 1/16 and 1/8 oz with a #2 or #1 hook.
  24. If you are fishing with rocky banks and/or timber you may want to rethink your line choice. Those things get hung up a lot and traditional ways of unhanging them don’t always work. I’ve had to wrap my line around a boat cleat and use the trolling motor to rip them loose. A couple of years ago my neighbor went with me. He was using mono and lost 5 Arigs that day to my none.
  25. Third most dangerous body of water in North America Check out Lake Guntersville in ALABAMA.
