  1. I used to do that until I got a gps.
  2. Before warm weather and those big cabin cruisers get on the water. LOZ is listed below the Atlantic Ocean and Lake Erie in dangerous waters in North America.
  3. My vote is white crappie.
  4. I have more reels than rods. I switch reels depending on the application. For example I have 2 rods for heavy applications that now are mounted up with 5:1 reels and braid for Arigs. They will soon be getting a couple of E 7s.
  5. I don’t have KVD line conditioner but do have Red Label from 6# to 20#. I have it on bc and spinning setups. I don’t use anything on it.
  6. If you are trying to be frugal, with an empty reel and a full spool of line, pull off as much braid as your normal cast plus 30 feet. Tape it to the reel spool and wind it on. Tie the line that will become backing to your braid and fill the spool. Now take it all off and reverse the procedure. You will have a properly filled spool with more than enough braid to function well. It only takes a few extra minutes and removes all of the guess work.

Yep my Ned heads cost from $.0 (free hooks) to $.20 for my gammys with all of my lead being free. Even when I add weedguard it’s only a few more cents.
  8. I’ve had several Lowriders. They have always been quality rods.
  9. Some of us have 2 house batteries to run the electronics.
  10. I think Tom and Keith covered your question pretty well. My main reasons for AGMs... no mess, no water to add, no chance of a spill. My bilge area stays clean enough that I can keep extra clothes in it.
  11. Unless they have changed hours, they are closed on Sunday and Monday.
  12. I don’t know if you can find a boat that is adequate for LOZ. Of the aluminum boats listed the Xpress will have the best ride. A glass boat will give you a more stable fishing platform and a better ride than a tin boat. Pros Choice is a Nitro, Triton, Ranger dealer in Warsaw. He probably will have the best price that you will be able to find. The new Mercury PRO XS are four strokes. An 18 or 19 foot boat is my recommendation. A 17 will be too small for that big old pond.
  13. You might loosen up your drag some. Swim jigs don’t require much of a hook set.
  14. I added Ipilot link to my Ulterra and it did cost $800 but I sold my old head and remote for $400 to a guy in Texas.
  15. Personally I go with AGMs. There are no lithium battery manufacturing companies in America. There also seems to be some sketchy ones on the market so I am taking a pass on them. I am replacing my 5 year old trolling motor batteries tomorrow.
  16. One thing I never want to do is break the line setting the hook so I keep mine loose enough to slip on a hard hook set but tight enough to bury the hook. I can always add more drag with digit pressure.
  17. Same here in MO for many years. We saw one when I was a kid. Everyone poopooed us.
  18. Your engine specs are for minimum cca. Get a bigger cranking battery, group 29 or 31 if they will fit.
  19. Yep split tail. I pour them to match the bait.
  20. I think you will like it. My daughter got me one for Father’s Day. I liked it well enough to get a second one. They are my designated spinnerbait reels.
  21. Clear water and sunshine...Firecracker Cloudy...Golden Shiner Dingy water...Bleeding Shad All around...White
  22. I keep bar bait in my sheds and barn for rodents.
  23. Regular brush hogs on a swing jig is a great combination.
  24. Boga grip.
