For me it depends on the bait that I am using and whether or not the fish are aggressive.

Clayton yours is a lot prettier than mine. Mine was just plain butt ugly. We have largemouth, smallmouth and spotted bass. The meanmouth is a hybrid that had started showing up in some of our lakes. They can be a smallmouth/spotted cross or a smallmouth/largemouth cross.

I thought that until I let a guy beat me like left handed step child. I switched to fluorocarbon and leveled the playing field.

I have Seaguar red label fluorocarbon line on 7 spinning setups. 4 of them have 6# and 3 of them have 10#. I have no problem with it. However, I can’t use more than 10#.

I use 7’ heavy rods for my Arigs. I make my own flash mob style. I use 1/16 oz heads with 4/0 hooks to keep the weight down. I use flukes and swimbaits on them. Around here they are ineffective after March.

You wouldn’t on Stockton. Spots rarely live long enough to get to 15 inches down there. They are also pretty rare. In the last three trips we have caught over 100 bass and not a single spot in the bunch.

It was caught at Stockton Lake in SWMO. It was on a secondary point in about 3 feet of water. I caught it on a Ned rig, New Money TRD. It weighed 4.25 #. That is the largest one for me so far. They are pretty rare. I only catch 2 or 3 a year.

I glue my TRDs to my jig heads. I use super glue gel. It holds all day. For a trolling motor battery you need to consider reserve capacity. That is what will keep you on the water with power. Sams usually has some good deals on agms.

I’ve seen that in several states. I stopped and asked about it. The guys manning it said they spray the boat and trailer with hot water which will kill invasive plants and animals.

You have been given some sound advice. I do a lot of Ned rig fishing with 1/16 oz. jig heads so I also have a very light bait. There are a few things that I do that haven’t been mentioned. When casting a bait like that I allow the rod tip to drop as i feather the line with my fore finger. I stop the line with my finger and hold it on the spool as I close the bail with the other hand. Then I slightly lift the rod tip as I take up a little slack. The line never has a chance to become loose or get looped. I do a lot of fishing on windy days. This method saves me a lot of grief.

It isn’t always the case about color. I’ve seen many times when they would take most colors and also seen the time when they only really wanted a specific one. That is why I have many setups for the techniques that I use. I can have multiples with different colors rigged up.

I hope this comes across right. Your stuff is worth what ever you will take for it and what ever someone is willing to pay. You may be able to get some ideas from the for sale forums here and at Bass Resource. Normally the seller is more proud of his stuff than the buyer is. With this crazy market, I’d be inclined to price it a bit high. You can always come down in a negotiation but never can you go up.

I wouldn’t mind having a Caymas boat but I would want a Merc 300 instead of the Yammy. But I will have to keep my Z20 for now.

I don’t know where you are that fishing is going out of style. It sure is not around here. Campgrounds are full and used boats are scarce. Hundreds of tournaments are held each week. Even the high school tournaments have hundreds of boats in them.

You will find many variations in the same body of water, sometimes even in the same area.

What size outboard do you have that flops around? Do you have a real light weight boat?
