  1. I built a storage box 3 rd pedestal placement for my Champion several years ago. I made it from Advantech. It even has a wax impregnation that prevents rain from damaging or infiltrating the surface.
  2. More costly: Gloomis and St Croix Less costly: Fenwich HMG

Those are one of the 3 jig heads that I fish. This year I am adding a 4th but the arkies are still in their boxes and will b used a lot.
  4. Use the 3 deep cycles for tmotor and one of the for cranking. Bigfoot has been doing it that way with a Merc 200 EFI for lots of years with no problems what so ever. Wear your life jacket till you get used to it.
  5. Hooks--Shorty's Lead--anywhere I can hospitals (radio active med. containers), remodelers from old shower floors, tire shops, printing shops, etc Skirts--fishing skirts.com by the 100 ct. Weedguards-- Do-It Powder--Pro Tech by the pound
  6. I just built one for $30. I got all the parts at Lowe's in the plumbing section and the pump and a tube of silicone at Wal Mart. I have enough 3" pvc pipe for 15 cups but only have made 5.

Marine Goop at walmart is supposed to be good for wg. I always use Loctite super glue gel in the squeeze side bottle.
  8. Like stated pay attention and keep plenty of stopping room and don't use overdrive. My wife pulled my 21' glass boat all over mid America with a Ford Windstar van while I was pulling the 5th wheel.
  9. If my memory is correct, you will be doubling your time. It would be on the lesser battery if wired in series.
  10. Does the wind matter. To me yes it is the most important factor in the way I do most of my fishing. If the wind ain't blowin' I ain't goin' except for night fishing. That is why I ride in a big old glitter sled with a strong tmotor.
  11. When I slow roll a spinnerbait I don't want it to touch the bottom so I use one with #5 and #7 blades, usually Colorado Copper.
  12. I found rod wrap at BPS catalog outlet for $1.88@ and bought a bunch. I liked it but it didn't wear well and was always dirty. So I got to looking around and ran across this stuff at Harbor Freight Tool Sales. I really like it.
  13. The whole place merits attention IMO. One year Steve Holland, Charlie Campbell and I took 8 bass over 7# out of JH in a couple of weeks.
  14. I do wear out trailer tires on the boat but never on my 5 th weel camper. The rule of thumb is never go into the 7 th year with any tire on anything unless you are wanting trouble.
  15. It is of no benefit to your reels. Blakemore named it REEL magic in the beginning. Lots of people tried to use it as a reel lube. It didn't work and that is why it is now called REAL magic but few people even notice that they have changed its name. Just get you some good reel gear grease and reel oil. That is all you need.
  16. I can't use the same rod for worms/jigs and spinnerbaits as I do for cranks. I use the MHF for most stuff and M for cranks. So for me it would depend on how much I planned to fish the baits listed.
  17. Looks like you are all set up and ready to go.
  18. If not, then please explain sight fishing for the males guarding the eggs and fry in the nest.
  19. If you have $500 to spend you should be able to get a Lowrance 522 or 520c on close out some place. They are being replaced by the HD units. They are very good and networkable. You really need to get a networkable unit if you are serious about fishig places off the bank and it is not always convenient to get up and go to the back to mark a wpt. It also is nearly impossible to drive onto a wpt get up go to the front and still be on it.
  20. Bring it here. I'll buy your gas and give you your money back. You could give it a little tlc and make some bucks if it will float and the motor will start.
  21. Put it anywhere you want except inside the reel. It is not a reel lubricant. It is silicone and too thin to do any good for a reel. Does your can say REEL magic or REAL magic? I use it on braid and mono. I just spray it on the spooled line. It helps mono cast in cold weather and makes braid quiet.
  22. If you are talking Table Rock be sure to head on up a couple of miles and give Jackson Hollow a try. It can be really good at times.
  23. It doesn't for me but Pline Hi Vis looks like a well rope under the black light.
  24. I fish BS regularly. It got over 40' high last year and had a tremendous spawn. Lots of fish didn't see any baits and it is hot right now. We have been doing quite well. By the time you get there, depending on what part of May, the spawn will probably be over but some males will still be guarding nests. Early and late I'd fish buzzbaits and spinnerbaits. When the sun is up I'd go for Trigs and jigs. If you feel comfortable with it, night fishing is great on this lake. What part of the lake will you be fishing? I might be able to tell you a spot or two to try.
  25. I have done that a few times in the past. The rod will most likely be completely changed, maybe for the better or for the worse. You'll just have to wait and see. Mine were all for the worse.
