  1. I have tried them - even after boiling them amd drilling holes through it to try and give it more action it was hot garbage. Would not recommend at all.
  2. Nice bait...30 to 40 shipped though.
  3. Only reels I have ever immensely disliked were my Lews and Abu Garcias...not a coincidence they are basically the same.
  4. 8' xh daiwa elite swimbait rod with my 300 hd Lexa on it with 2 boxes of swimbaits. I would have the 65# Cortland Silentflip braid to a 17# Gamma copoly leader and using a tactical clip.
  5. This.
  6. Megabass V-9's are the best spinnerbait out of the package I have found.
  7. A lot if the foil wraps look really good in the water. A lot of times bass aren't hunting good healthy fish - they are looking for something that is injured that has difficulty swimming - i.e. easier prey.
  8. This is the truth. When fishing gliders in the early spring o have 2 rods - 1 with copoly and 1 with fluoro just because the glide depth changes as the water warms up.
  9. That's wild to me - each year I get several over 6 up here in Pa and many over the 5 mark. There are waters that don't have those sizes but I mostly stay away from them.
  10. It's such a simple knot it was probably used long before that, just didn't have a name.
  11. Fish big swimbaits and you will...no reason in TN you shouldn't be hitting double digits or close this time of the year!
  12. I threw this one in the livewell at the tourney over the weekend and thought it was 2.9 to 3 lbs. Ended up being just over 4. That's a big miss...
  13. For a regular 6" magdraft any mh rod will work. For a freestyle, a H will be fine.
  14. Suspending to a super super slow sink.
  15. This is a question I choose not to answer.
  16. Not really - I run 10-20 lb braid all the time on baitcasters and a lot of others do too.
  17. In my tiny little home waters it's the juice.
  18. I lost my last Lucky Craft pointer 78 in color way flake flake male gill #228. I went to search them out and they are discontinued. Anyone have a lead where I could get a couple in the 78 size? There are other colorways that are close but this one has my heart... See the picture.
  19. Overall I agree with you - I prefer a fast action rod for bladed jigs and its hard to get used to that mushy feel from the ones marketed for them. I will say the technique does draw strikes but it's a hard switch...
  20. I don't even take them most of the time.
  21. I got 3 of them about a week after I mailed my $15 dollar check. I was amazed at how quick they were
  22. Uhh, don't use 30lb test. I run 17lb for tossing a Deps 250
  23. If they are singing loudly on the cast it's more than likely the spool bearings. If they are basic tatula reels you need to take the side plate off and oil both spool bearings - one is held in by a retainer in the middle of the magnets and the other is under the endcap. You also want to oil the clutch cam bearing on the inside of the reel where you pulled the spool out of... The bearing that is notorious for getting rusty and locking up is the gear shaft bearing but that requires a whole teardown.
  24. Email the seller and ask if they combine shipping - but you already said it's discontinued so if you aren't willing to pay 20 dollars for 1, you don't want it too badly and can probably make another color work.
