Vibrating Jigs : Does Heavy Line Affect Vibration / Action ?
Yeah I think the braid is much more sensitive. I actually noticed it when I needed to put new line on my reel. I use a cheap mono backing with the braid on top. Well I bombed a few casts that went into the backing. I could barely feel the vibrate while bringing in the mono, but as soon as it was the braid section I felt every little tick and the constant vibrate.

Vibrating Jigs : Does Heavy Line Affect Vibration / Action ?
I tossed a lot a Jack Hammers last year and like others mentioned its not fun losing a lure that cost so much, even if you get them on a discount. After losing a few on 12lb Fluro I switched over to 20-30lb Braid and it worked great. Without doubt saved me quite a few lures. just my 2 cents, I am FAR from a pro on the matter lol

Downsizing for Bank fishing - first order of retrievability
100% agree on this one. Sent him several things for his giveaways, always happy help out a guy like that as he deserves to have a lot more subs then he has. Thanks, its still and always will be a WIP haha. I jumped on the EDGE boxes when they have those crazy flash sales on Amazon, can get them really cheap here and there. They are really nice quality. I probably do need to size down my terminal tackle some though overall. Little less weight on my back lol

Do you ever use clips for jerkbaits/cranks or just the oval rings? Ever use clips for either of them?

Downsizing for Bank fishing - first order of retrievability
Debo is that you??? Great sticker, love Debo's videos, awesome dude I bank fish myself andI am always making adjustments as what to bring. Have the TW backpack and it holds quite a bit. Carry the following: - EDGE 3700 for terminal tackle, random items, extra lures that dont fit elsewhere - EDGE Jig Box - Use half for jigs and fit half with some jerkbaits and other hard lures - EDGE 3600 with Cranks - 8-12 bags plastics give or take. I tend to mix colors in a single bag if they are the same brand and wont bleed. For Example will carry 4 Zako in white, 4 in Chart white and keep then in same bag, 4 in a mini bag for no bleeding, allows me carry multiple colors of the same lure. The Clam Shells work amazing for this as well -Pliers, Scale, and Water Never used split foam, just let them sit in a compartment in the boxes. You think it make a large difference?

Anyone use the Plano EDGE Jig box for Jerkbaits too?
Was messing around trying to get the most out of my boxes. I love the jig box but having only a backpack room is a premium. Was able get the jerkbaits in there snug but doesn't seem like it will hurt them. Anyone ever do this and have problems? The soft plastic pieces are for any jig with wire tire since they are a little loose. This makes them stay in place no matter what and super simple fix. New 3600 loaded up for weather to break!!!

What Does Your Dicks Sporting Goods Look Like?
I live in DE and the DSG is pretty loaded up. Not quite like the pictures you showed, but every isle is full. They actually expanded it less then a year ago to where all of the hunting used to be as well. They even had a bunch of the OG Rapala Flat Cranks in multiple colors last time I stopped in. I usually stop in to check some things out and see them in person since they are usually well over priced compared to other places. The interesting thing is there is a Cabelas about 20 min away from this location. So even with the competition they have a rather large, stocked up fishing supply.

Megabass Dark Sleeper
I had some success with them last year. They are "slightly" weedless but not fully even though the hook is hidden in the fin. More of a FYI than anything.

Never taken a jig bass. Sad but true.
Not sure if you saw or read through the Jig Thread yet. IT IS INCREDIBLE!!! Commit a few hours and read though it, so much fantastic information that really helped me a lot Honestly I was like this up until last year. I spent about 1-1.5 years only tossing T Rigged worms, doing well, having fun. Then I challenged myself last spring/summer to try and catch bass on as many techniques as possible. From Wacky, to Rage, to Tokyo, Jigs, Ned, Chatterbaits, Top Water, etc. I think I ended up landing bass on around 12-15 different techniques or rigging styles. I love the weightless T Rig worm, but expanding out really opened up Bass Fishing for me. I already thinking about what is next. This year I am going hard into Jerkbaits and Cranks. Best of Luck!

The latest sale thread
Discount Tackle has been my go to lately. They always have some great discounts going on. Sometimes the color selection isn't great but overall the deals are really nice. The odd thing is I feel like the deals change almost daily

Never have I ever....
Jerkbait, Frog, & Jointed Swim Bait for me I rarely throw top water and when I do its usually a WP. Tried some frog and rats, but no luck As for Jerkbait, got a few last year at the end of the season from a friend and didn't get to throw them much. This upcoming season I am going to try and focus on them along with Crankbaits. Its not a never, but only caught 1 fish on a Crank.

What are your favorite Shallow Water Cranks? Brand, Style, Colors?
Haha Yeah I agree. I planned on only getting a few to start out, the idea behind the thread was to get a little more information on which brands people preferred. Compare the like recommendations and get a handful that fit into my budget to start out. The water level was a big one for me, like you said there are so many brands, and styles that cover various water depths. This thread has helped me a TON break it down to ones I want to consider. I am a spreadsheet nerd so basically took everything suggested. Now I can get a few that fit my waters best as suggested. I appreciate the comment, even more great information that added that really is helpful!

Getting ready for spring!
Couple Questions/Suggestions on the Plano Edge Boxes 1. Love the Jig Box. Any Chance they will come out with an Insert that has a smaller gap? For example, Jack Hammers, and some wire hand tied jigs do not fit very snug and move around and easily fall out when the box flips or moves around. A smaller gap will be perfect. I push a piece of old Soft Plastic on top to hold those in place 2. Any chance the Flex will continue to expand and there will be "Jig section" inserts? This way you can use 1/4,1/2, or 3/4 of the box for jigs and the other side as typical sections. This would be really nice for those with limited availability. Aka bank anglers or even those in kayaks to carry less boxes with them. Personally when I am out, half of the Jig box is perfect for me and the number or lures needed. Would love to easily store Cranks, Jerkbaits, or other things in the second half. 3. This is kind of expanding on my last point and expanding the Flex box. Any chance there will be a Crank Bait insert for the Flex, again to use half of the box? Thanks again!

What are your favorite Shallow Water Cranks? Brand, Style, Colors?
Man this is going to be an expensive thread I started... I'll report back in a month or so with what I end up with. already looking at a new Plano Edge Box to store them. Honestly appreciate all of the information and great choices. Most likely will get a few different brands, styles to try them out and add to my arsenal I think I need a bigger backpack lol

What are your favorite Shallow Water Cranks? Brand, Style, Colors?
Hello, Like almost everyone in a colder climate I am sick of winter. Decided to start prepping for the Spring. Last year I really expanded my fishing knowledge and techniques. This year I want to continue that and made it a point this to dive into jerkbaits and cranks a lot more. I am currently well covered on the jerkbait front. Most of my fishing is more shallow water as I throw from a bank 99% of the time. What is your favorite Shallow Water Cranks to throw or ones to throw from the bank that can get deep quick? This is what I have looked into some: Brands? - 6th Sense, Megabass, Lucky Craft, Rapala, etc (very open to others) Styles? - Shallow Mainly, like 1-3ft, 2-4ft, or 3-6ft Colors? - Bluegill are big in Delaware where I am fishing, White and Chart Shad like as well Thanks for the advice, also very open to used lures that are for sale. Can't beat something lightly used a little cheaper then brand new haha

Spike-it markers are legit
I picked up a couple last year. They are great, I like to use Chart on some tails. Just to be safe I store them in a separate compartment in my Backpack in an old Soft Plastics zip baggy. Don't need one of them magically blowing up on me haha
