  1. I am far from you guys but it is getting there. The thing is I always seem to be low, run out of, or lose the lure that is working best that day... haha I will say putting up a peg board was a really big game changer for me to see what I have and in what colors, sizes, etc.
  2. Same with me. Never caught a fish on a frog. I actually dont do well on top water in general, occasional, only WP here and there
  3. and 1 day late....... d**n it
  4. I use a normal EDGE 3700 box for my terminal. Got a Bass Mafia coffin from a buddy, shaved down the sides and cut the bottom to fit. Works great. Only have the top pad in there because it bounces around and can be loud in my backpack
  5. Wow they look great! Thanks for all the great pics!! Good to know, I'll check them out. Thank you!
  6. I just started to drop shot last year and found those Mosquito hooks to work really well. They are super sharp and thin so its easy hook through the lip. They are pretty strong as well, I was able to land a 5lb Snakehead on one and it didn't bend. It put up a pretty decent fight too since I was on the bank GL
  7. Honestly hard to tell because I didnt throw them in the same colors. I was using the Fogy mainly in the Orange/Red combo in Spring/early summer and then more a a White/Chart Jack Hammer in mid to late summer. I like using both because the jack hammer is a tighter consistent thump. Where the Fogy is a football head and thumps much harder and has more of a 'hunting" movement. Sorry this doesnt really help, also the Fogy you can get in a lot more color options. I picked some others up to try more this spring and summer
  8. This looks really similar to the DEPS Death Added, thanks for the link, may give this a shot first! What trailers were you using on the Stealth Blade?
  9. Thanks for the info! I will have to check those out I didnt get the Stealth Blade until late fall. I think maybe 2 or 3 short outings was about the only use it got, along with other lures. It actually preformed rather well, I like the small profile, it pulled through some grassy/muck pretty easily. Also it was the only thing that got a few bites after 3-4 hours of nothing. Even outperformed my lipless which was very effective in the fall Excited to see how it does in the Spring, I think the smaller profile will be beneficial in my area. This pic is from Nov 28th, was nice day in the 50s but water was most likely in the low 40s. Used a zako but it seemed to actually run better without it on, mainly because it was too big. I should of cut it down further. This was the biggest of 3 within an hour of me throwing it. They really hit it hard too.
  10. Hello! Happy New Year everyone Quick question. I have been researching some new trailers, specifically for the Jack Hammer Stealth blade since the Zako is a little big and found The Hook Up Tackle had a great YT video on them. They recommended the following: OSP DoLive Stick Spec II 3.5 Deps Death Adder 4 OSP - Action Trailer Anyone have any experience with either of these trailers or soft plastics? I want to get a few but they are a little pricey around $9-$10 a pack just to try. I also do not have anywhere around me that sells these so I cant even see them in person. Thanks!
  11. I fished chatterbaits a lot this past spring/summer. Was throwing the Jack Hammer and Fogy from Siebert. I found that too much action was actually a bad thing since the chatter itself does so much of the work. Read that a few places around here/ saw on YT as well. A lot of ppl say to use a Keitech upside down for little less action. I personally haven't had much success with that. My continued go to was the Zako. It fits so well and does just the right amount on the chatter IMO. I tried a bunch of different trailers and seemed to really only get bites with Zakos. Super Flukes were OK and Rage Menace had a lot of action. Turned Vertical calmed them down a lot. This is just my 2 cents. I do not have years of experience like many others here but happy to share. The hook up tackle had a great video on the new stealth blade. I tried that 1-2 times late in the fall and the zako is a little big. They recommended the Deps Death Adder 4in and OSP DoLive Stick Spec II 3.5in. I am going to look into those this spring/summer as well. Hope this helped some. GL
  12. This was a thought, but the idea behind this is giving actual things to try or use not just a gift card
  13. Hello, I was hoping to get some advice on what are some popular lures and techniques to throw in Alabama. Long story short I am in a Bass fishing Secret Santa, and my match lives there. I am from the North East so I would like to send them some area specific things if possible. The only information know is that he has a boat and fishes a quite a bit, I would guess he fishes in lakes there with his boat. I believe he is by Birmingham if that helps. Also not against anything boat related that would be helpful, an upgrade, or something you would not be without on a boat. I bank fish so I do not know anything when it comes to boats Thank you!
  14. This right here. I had the most success this year with a Space Monkey Rage Rigged. Floats down perfect on that set up. Black/Blue or Falcon Craw
  15. Anyone have any idea if the hook up tackle is having another sale? ticked I missed out on the BF sale ?‍♂️?‍♂️?‍♂️
  16. haha they actually had a Black, Black Shiner, and Smoke Black Purple in stock so I figured I would give them a go. I really wanted Brown Back or Goby but these will do for now
  17. TW Black Friday Order, Excited to try out a few new things, especially the Grande Ratler.
  18. yeah gotta think they had a TON of black Friday orders, and they are low on staff (my guess with new CA regulations). Some positive news, I live on the East Coast and my order got here a day prior then expected. Also it was actually shipped 3 days before they said it would be. GL
  19. is the site working for you? Just went on and anything I clicked on went back to the "Search By Brand" page. weird Nevermind works now
  20. Love mine, I keep looking to replace it with a Stratic Ci4 now that Vanford dropped their prices, but I cant justify it because it works so well haha
  21. What is this Flea Market you speak of?
  22. Great price, they also have crazy deals on the Lake Fork packages. 10 packs for only $9.90, seems too good to be true
  23. I can 100% see that. Personally its the only thing I can use for top water that produces. Dont get me wrong I do not throw top water very often, but I cant get a frog bite if my life depended on it.
  24. Seriously I was so confused, I do not wacky fish often at all, usually T Rig and I could not figure out or understand was going on. Cut off that guard and boom, couldn't miss. The hook itself is fantastic! the Guard is terribly designed.
  25. What ever you do, DO NOT BUY THESE. They are weedless but have the WORST hookup ration ever. I missed 5/6 fish one day. Cut off the weed guard and landed 5/5 fish. The VMC wacky hooks are great, just don't go with this weedless version. I ended up cutting the weed guard off of all of them.
