August, I was wishin hard for cooler temps........now it's 54......high supposed to be 83. Now, I'm dreadin winter........ Good thing is..................the bass are biting better .........bout time to go fishin, again enjoy it while I can............

Unfortunately I haven't been close to the lake today . Joe and I went out for a little while yesterday evening. It is kinda cool that we get to make several quick trips out. With his semi route, he's actually home a lot. We should get to spend the next 3 days on the lake so maybe we can find some...... I've had my hands full with my dad today....and part of yesterday. Since my Mom died, he depends on me for almost everything.

hehehee ........sounds good but no, I don't usually talk on the thing.....guess I need to come up with some kind of handle though.... Unfortunately, the trip got cut short, at least for me. Got a frantic call from my Dad.......problem with 7 of his meds....he's changing pharmacies and nothing was right. Soooo, I got to come home and take care of that. Thank goodness we were not too far out, about 60 miles or so......Then shortly thereafter I had to go rescue a friend who was broken down several miles from home and needed help......I (my truck) went and pulled his boat in for him and the tow truck took his vehicle.. So all worked out well........I don't have to spend the next several days dreamin of the lake. Went out for about an hour and a half and caught 5........now that's worth comin home for :

In this day and age, we're all pretty guilty of complaining......about some really minor stuff. It's so good to hear someone say GOOD things for a job well done! by the way..........hope you catch a bunch of big 'ens on your trip............one day, I'll be able to say, Yep.........I caught one of those beautiful Peacocks.........ok maybe not as big as you but hey, I just want one......or two......or........

Ain't it cool............. riding down the road in a semi.........headed for Mississippi.........and still able to get my br fix! From MS back up to Peoria Ill, eventually after a couple days and several stops anyway... Wasn't that long ago, I couldn't even get DSL at home.................wow

Not this year Bud. Last year, I had one swim out almost to the boat then proceed to swim circles around us.......it stayed with us doing all kinds of water stunts thru 2 coves in Bloody...... I too have to stop and watch the critters.........just one more reason I love being out there. I like to drive down to PIsgah in the winter, climb the rocks and watch the Eagles......saw lots of them last yr. Ginger Bay also has lots of them........

Deb, is this your first grandbaby? If so, you are going to love it. Yes and no........I have 3 step grankids......Quenton 12, Page 9, and Callie 8......they came into the family 2 yrs ago......I love them like my own......they are.....They call me Puddin. much better than Granny : Jackson will be the first born into the family........It's been so long since there was a baby around....especially one I can spoil and then send back home........not to mention teach how to catch bass and buy UK stuff for................

Yes, tomorrow came......it was busy...... My Dad was in the hospital last week, then had been at our house for 4 days.....he had to go back to docs........then fightin the with pharmacy(that battle will continue today). Had to take Dad back to TN......yea the house is reclaimed Plus the excitement of the news of baby Jackson...... We finally made it on the water........I was still lookin for those 2 more bass...... The first hour out......nothing......not even a nibble! It was fun watchin the little coons and the coyote (posted under Everything)......thank goodness for the critters... My youngest son Justin had just called.....I hung up the phone......the coons were eating pb crackers someone had just tossed to them...... : When along came #499.......another 3# smallie... Of course I'm thinkin........one more....just one more.......( me excited????) about 3 casts later..........#500! I did it! Yes every single fish has been released........most photo'd, all kissed :-*......and every one caught on plastics.......mostly c-rig'd lizards, t-rig'd kreatures, or wacky rig'd senko's ..........thanks to all those that have helped me expand my knowledge and enjoyment of bass fishing...........what a year it's been........

40 yrs I've been living on Ky Lake....yep, I'm old........soon to be a grandma Anyway........40 yrs, I've seen lots of critters....lots of neat critters......beavers, coons (lots of coons), deer, evn a bunny, eagles, last yr I even saw a bobcat. Yesterday for the 1st time ever, I saw my first coyote on the lake bank....actually there were 3. The leader was large with 2 smaller ones following....when they saw us....zip they were gone up into the hills.... This evening......we'd been watching 3 little coons playing......rounded a point and hear some noise in the woods......not a deer too noisy......then it appears.....just in the tree line. It walked on down the bank....I managed to get my camera and take a few pics....not good ones mind you but pics anyway..... I'm guessing it was about 75-100 ft from us! It headed down to the water when our little dog, Chewy barked. It turned and slowly headed back up into the trees........ Strange......all these years and now I've seen 4 in 2 days...........

Maybe not second......but I did get a pretty excited call from the doctors office! All that UK stuff will look good in gator country ;D I'm thrilled for all us of........looks like a Feb trip to FL......wonder if I can find a peacock bass while I'm there......

Watch out Bud..........you might find that certain white and teal boat following you around Everything I caught this weekend was on the kreature but in 297........most smallies, most keepers.......not the numbers you caught but........better than it has been. Hope to hit it again in a little while......still lookin for 2 more : Thanks for the report deb

Actually........I usually don't make my first trip out till March.......then shut down in Nov....depends on the temp......if we get a warm day I'll go. Too many back spasms if it's less than 50.......so I sit here and look at the lake and ;D Every fish caught today but one was a brown one! I love 'em

I started the morning at 494........bass that is, this year....not a lot for some but to me that's a lot of bass. I started keepin up with how many I catch a yr a couple of yrs ago.....just to see how many there were. We were out for just under 2 hrs yest evening and I caught 7. This morning we got a late start. Didn't launch till 7. Considering I'd been up since 4, I was ready and waiting. Anyway....... Needed 6 to hit that magic # of 500. Ended with 4........that's ok........there's always tomorrow...... Here's a sample of what we caught........ my 3 1/4 lb smallie another decent smallie Joe's nice largemouth........3 1/4

Right......me fish a BFL???? ......fraid not.......not got any tournaments lined up yet.... May never.....don't know...... Actually it's lookin like I may take a road trip....Joe has asked me to climb in the semi and go with him Tues........we wouldn't be back by then...... I don't go on many, maybe 2 or 3 a year........it always gets interesting .....me couped up in a semi for 4 or 5 days....I start having major withdrawals..........
