Just one of the reasons I kiss the bass. They know where their bread's buttered. I wish I'd kept count of how many times this year I've called "Last Cast" and stuck one. Must be something bout the kiss that keeps 'em coming back for more......try it, you might like it..

Got the Toucan out of the shop today. I've been itching all day to take her out and run her but at 106 it was a bit too warm...... I kept saying .... if the temp drops below 95 by 7 I'm going.....It didn't, I did. At 7:10 and 98 degrees we launched......just to run the motor. First, anyone that knows me, knows I never, NEVER go on the lake to "run the motor" She did run good.........so of course that meant time for fishing.. Surface temp was 92.4....Joe caught a 6 incher.........Me, I hadn't even had a bite. Didn't matter I was out there, one more time. At 8, I called "last cast"! The skeeters had found me big time..... Just as I had my kreature almost in, it hit. Took drag and the smile was there..........It wasn't big, just 3 1/2lbs. but what a last cast.....We headed in and were loaded and backing in the drive at 8:27......not bad........

Son, hold tight.......Mom will be there soon to show you how to catch fish on plastics..... I hate(right ;D) to say I told you so but...........I TOLD YOU SO...PLASTICS!

Now about those pic......I've been trying to get the method to your madness down but I'm not having much luck. Avid, if you take the long way, with the narrow curvy roads it's about 70 miles, If you take the shorter route, with the very narrow curvy roads its about 60 or if you take the back roads with the scenic tour included (like Joe took yesterday) it's about 100! ;D > The socks were cause I was feeling FROGGY! Most of you know, westpalmdude is my son........the oldest....... This is Justin, my other son, he's 28 and lives in McKenzie TN........ Also my gran puppy, Kilo (don't ask), a beautiful, loving 4 mo old pit bull.....

George, honest, I've got pictures!!! not that anyone else is seeing them ;D ;D We lived in the Land Between the Lakes, before the government ran us all out. We (Dad and Grandad) had a farm that was on the bank of Barkley Lake. Our land had about a mile of lake frontage. Man oh man, wish we still had it! My grandparents lived in a log house my grandfather moved from the river bank when they flooded the bottom land to make the lake. We moved when I was 6 but believe me, I remember the trips to the outhouse, the front yard baths and such!!! We did have one of those little white and red "chamber pots" for night time and REALLY cold weather

Avid, I think the difference here may be time.....like generation time.......I don't think meththiolate is used much if any anymore...Now if you would have said betadine.....that would have rung a bell...Kids just don't realize what they missed out on. ..just the thought of having meth. put on a boo boo was enough to scare off most germs : ( Oh the fun they missed, like castor oil...that junk cured everything, in my great grandmother's opinion anyway :-/ They also missed the fun of outhouses, baths in the front yard in wash tubs or in front of the wood stove in the living room, I could go on and on........anyway....glad ya'll had fun! Thanks, I think.... Yeah, I tore a tendon about 7 yrs ago, had it repaired about 5 yr ago. Last week, I fished so much it flared up again.....wanted to try to nip it in the bud.....would rather not have to spend another 10wks in a cast from finger tips to shoulder. It's done good till now......No, stopping fishing is NOT an option!
