  1. No problems here, you didn't step on my toes. I love this site. I've been fishing local ladies tourneys for 12+yrs now. This site and the wonderful folks here are teaching me a lot. There is some very useful information, some goofiness, some sadness, a lot of laughs and some great friendships to be had. All one has to do is take advantage of it as it's available. I've had my share of troubles also. That was my point. I've been divorced, been a single mom, watched my child die, given up a nursing career I loved (due to surgery) but yet somehow, thru all of my troubles and screwups, I am able to live. To be happy! Fishing helps keep me sane. I certainly wasn't trying to be judgemental. Outspoken, yep I'm definately that! But I'm a whole lot more. I'm passionate about my beliefs. Too passionate sometimes. Family, friends, fishing, faith. I'm usually more than happy to put my .02 worth in. Gets me in trouble sometimes. Thanks for the invite to write. Sounds very interesting! Haven't a clue what I'd write about. Money doesn't mean a lot to me, as long as the bills get paid and there's money for gas in the boat. I'm fairly content (dont ask the ex ) As many of the guys here will attest, I have thousands of pictures! Let me know what you're interested in.... As for the grits........you can keep 'em. I'd rather have rocks !!!But let me know, I'll be glad to send you some (grits not rocks) Personally, I'll keep oatmeal! : deb
  2. Ky law plainly states "Statewide size and creel limits apply to ALL Kentucky waters, public and private." therefore, if i wanted to keep the fish, I would either abide by the laws or risk prosecution. Just like speeding, shoplifting, arson, or any other law. I as a resident of Ky have a few choices, live by the laws, break the laws, or move to somewhere where the laws more suit my beliefs. It doesn't matter if you think I say something because there's men around. I speak my mind. Men or not! Couldn't care less if they or anyone else like it. Just like your opinion is yours, mine is mine. Nothing more, nothing less. I've never needed a man to tell me what to think or say. I honestly didn't mean to offend you or do you bodily harm. No more than you meant to offend members here or on the web. I'm sure you have learned and thank goodness, given time and life, we all learn and go forward. Perfect no, we weren't meant to be. But I do believe you put the past behind you and go forward. Hopefully learning every step of the way. I may be late in replying to the original post and didn't mean to drag this on and on. Honestly, I didn't check the original post date. Didn't see that it mattered, it must still be on members minds or it wouldn't be up top being still talked about. Hope you have a great day and things go better from now on. Now for me, it's time to go fishing............
  3. SAD, Very SAD! SQUIRRELS, no I think not. Squirrels are at least fun to watch! In the last 15 mo I've caught more than 500 bass myself. In the last 15 mo I've released every single one! You wanted "cheap" food for your party, now go spend thousands on an attorney! Maybe next time you'll serve cheese and crackers or nuts! We all have to eat, but not all of us feel as you do. Nothing wrong with differences of opinion. You asked for ours! No, this isn't a guy girl thing either. As one of the more vocal females on the site, the guys plainly tell it like it is, and it so happens this time, I agree! As far as how we would feel if it were our property, that's not the circumstances. I think even if it were, we would have been managing it to where the scenerio would not be the same. Yes, fisheries and wildlife must be managed, but not like this. No, we're not sympathic to your situation, if you had been in an accident or going off to war, diagnosed with an illness, lost a loved one, or even just having a tough time, the responses would be much different. This is an AWESOME site with some of the greatest people I've never met but the support is definately here, IF it is deserved!

Good to hear from you, strange I was thinking about you this weekend...While standing for the National Anthem at the Busch race. I had tears streaming down my cheeks. (I can act so tough but deep down...) anyway, my husband looked at me and asked what was wrong. Wrong???The fact that I was there enjoying life thanks to all you guys and gals putting your life on the line for ME??? Seeing the Sceaming Eagles was soooo cool! To you and all the rest, GOD speed!. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. Maybe we can all dedicate a bass to you each time we go out. Small consulation but something anyway. Take care....How's your family doing? deb

Hey guys, even I've caught fish on senko's. Give 'em another try. First time I put one of the unknown to me things on I caught fish but maybe it was beginners luck. (Not for Joe, that's the day I branded him) ::)That wouldn't explain the next few times I've used them. I keep a wacky rigged Senko on the ready all the time now. Use 'em or not...leaves more for me and LBH and the other millions that like 'em
  6. Hey Burley, where were you? The pics are awesome! It would be hard to leave such a beautiful place! Looks like you needed some bullfrog sunscreen but if like me it stays in the bag it won't help. deb

Glad to hear we're close ...Now come on guys...you know you need a new elite shirt. Heck it'll be one you don't have to wash for a little while.
  8. He's done it now...Joe took me to my first race. Busch race in Nashville. What an awesome weekend! We didn't make it to Dale Hollow but we did check out Percy Priest Lake. I'd love to go back and fish it! Ok, back on subject...the race...It was great. We got to see the Screaming Eagles from Fort Campbell jump in. Not no but heck no! I wouldn't jump out of a helicopter. They were great. The race was loud and fun. Most of the squirrels must have stayed home. Except for the two females down in front that got into a cat fight. With 5 laps to go, they were escorted out. Stupid squirrels. Joe has been to many races, this was just the first of many more to come for me. We had a great time except for the lack of water at the motel (knight's inn). We did have water but had to go to the Pilot truck stop to shower due to lack of water pressure. Never, ever again will I stay there, I'll stay in my truck! Now it's time to get back to more pressing issues like BASS FISHING!
  9. Congrats on the great new job! Now the hard part, not spending all your paycheck on "treasure". Enjoy!
  10. Pretty boat. What size motor? This weekends out for me too. I'll be in Nashville all weekend. I've never bass fished Barkley. I might be the squirrel Everything CAN be tattooed, if you use the proper tools! Honestly, I hope you get it fixed quickly and as inexpensively as possible. deb
  11. Ok, I'm heading out Fri for my first ever race. It's a Busch race at Nashville. What have I gotten myself into? I'd never even watched a race till last year. Not too many of the "big" names will be there but I'm sure it'll be fun. I'm not one to spend too many nights away from home, we'll be back Sun nite. By the time I get home, it'll be almost a week since I've been fishing. :'( Maybe I can handle it.......... I did check the map today, Dale Hollow isn't too far away from where we'll be staying.....Maybe I can sneak a rod and reel in the truck. :
  12. Ok Avid, you asked for it.... It rained everyday while you were gone, somewhere in the world! hope ya'll have a safe return trip home!
  13. And a good laugh to boot! Bet you'll be hearing bout that one for years! Thanks for sharing!
  14. Sounds great to me! Hurray up you slow pokes! These guys put a lot of time and effort into this! Get off your tails and do what you said you'd do! MOMMA SAID!
  15. My question is...when are you taking the boat out again and where. Please let me know. I really WANT to be there! Any yep, I'd go fishing with you...you in your boat, me in mine. ;)Remember I'm dangerous too! Unless you want a cheap tattoo Here squirrelie, squirrelie, squirrelie........ Maybe it's the Barkley Lake jinx, try thinkin Ky Lake............................
  16. Maybe to play it safe, they should stay north of Louisville and east of Knoxville! That way we've both safe Hurry back guys, we miss you. Hope you've had a great time........ 8-) deb
  17. Well it finally happened, twice!! Although new to bass fishing Joe is steadily getting better. This has become apparent the last few days. After the motor in his semi blew Thur we have been on the water a lot. He beat me yesterday and worse today! He deserved it. He has put up with a lot of beatings Here's some of the rewards... another... Here's an example of what I've been catching... Maybe next time I'll try using a hook! CHEERS (now where's that cheese)
  18. Yep, It's those "friendly" ones you gotta whatch out for.

I somehow bet I've been guilty of worse ya'll do realize it's all westpalmdude's fault you have to put up with me...I was totally innocent till he put me onto this site...He's created a monster Don't know bout everyone else, I think I've got a bad case of yee haw it's time to go fishing! ;D deb
