  1. And mine is at my local terminal reservoir ?
  2. Then you went home smelling like success my man ?
  3. Apparently the senko is the only lure they dont remember. Conversely I would probably find out what those other 20 are throwing then throw something completely different in hopes of standing out.
  4. Caught 7 stripers today out of grizzly island. Biggest was only 19 inches however all of them had the shimmer of blue to them which indicates they are from the ocean. The run has begun!
  5. And for me horse poop is akin to a rotting corpse. Everyone has they're weird. Lol
  6. Wow. Totally different here in Northern California. Generally im the only one on the bank.
  7. Although a canoe is not the right choice cant you beat the bank instead to keep the trip together?
  8. You might want to go to 20lb braid so the diameter of both lines match up. When you say you are losing fish are they spitting your hook or is the knot giving way? What kind of knot are you using?
  9. She ended up sneaking purell into my fishing bag. I use it now after im done fishing. Its just good hygiene but if they made purell that smelled like bass or puppy breath id use it.
  10. I live near travis air force base. They have a pond I have the honor of fishing on the base and yep your right. The planes flying over all day do not stifle the catching.
  11. Thats my buddies thing. He does it with each fish.....
  12. No not dog breath. Puppy breath. It is distinctly different. I have had my dogs since birth. I just miss it. Lol
  13. I like the smell of bass. I enjoy it very much. So I generally will lip the fish, take the hook out, admire it for a moment, release it and then smell my hands... My wife saw me smell my hands after a release and looked at me like I was insane. She is a supporter of my love of fishing. But this one threw her for a loop. I also love puppy breath. But thats a bit off topic. I cant be the only one who does this.... right?
  14. Interesting read. Im going to dig deeper. Thank you.
  15. Why would worms be the only thing they cant condition to?
  16. It sucks when you find a good spot and everyone else swoops in on it. Its quite infuriating actually.
  17. I use $7 water shoes. If one gets lost not a big deal. It was only $3.50. We lose more expensive lures daily. I do suggest being careful and as suggested above find a stick and check before you step.
  18. So this makes me wonder. If they get acclimated to the environment then why would they eat the same lures over and over? I have been fishing a pretty highly pressured pond. Everyone uses basically soft plastics. Mostly senkos from what Ive seen. I mean how many times can a bird fly over head and drop a worm? I dont imagine its often. I feel like im missing a huge piece of this puzzle. Lol
  19. Would you say it gets better deeper into the week? Or is it a Monday thru friday thing?
  20. By any chance do you have a map of the lake? Preferably a topographical.
  21. At 1st glance this may look like a silly question but pressured bodies of water at least where I live are most pressured on the weekend as I am sure is the same for most of you. The places I frequent dont see many people on monday thru thursday. My question I suppose is do I have a better chance of catching a bass on a wensday or Thursday due to a couple of days of lulled pressure or is it just pressured water is always hard every day of the week?
  22. Gone in 60 seconds. Because of the retrieval time thread I realized I fish super fast and none of my retrieves lasted longer than 60 seconds. I have changed that btw this week lol
