  1. Robo 4" ST in Aaron's magic and morning Dawn.
  2. My confidence baits change with the seasons. Definitely Jerkbaits early. Spinnerbaits year around. Plastic worms, Neko , drop shot and Neds are also winners. Frogs in the thick.
  3. Very true. I've always did my own vehicle maintenance and speaking of push mowers that won't start......it's always " usually " a rusted flywheel or bent timing key from hitting a rock or stump. Oh, giving away my age. My youngest daughters boyfriend doesn't own a single tool, no lie.
  4. 5-10 here tomorrow and I'll be out there. Oh and 65*.
  5. I don't carry much......but a lot of what I do carry. Lol
  6. I heard this morning that hysteria is closing in on the virus as the bigger issue. We haven't hit bottom yet but strongly believe mid summer will see us trending upward. Staying positive is much better for our emotional well being vs fear and panic. Remember Y2K ? I do.....fear displayed in epic proportions. Keep safe.

Use a lot of soft plastics with red flake, like'm. Spinnerbaits with partial red skirt, like also.....white spinnerbaits that is.
  8. Visited my oldest daughter in San Diego and was amazed at the significantly higher fuel prices.
  9. Glenn, just wanted to post this event today, some perspective maybe. 26 yr old son of one of my wife's employees was randomly tested for his job and tested positive. In his own words" I thought I had a cold " and required no medical treatment, hmmmm He is going to stay in the families RV for a while.
  10. Ha ha, simple approach but very effective. For me it's been, keep it simple. I don't carry a large variety of tackle but rather a large inventory of baits that have proven themselves over and over. Just a couple days ago was catching fish consistently on a certain bait and never strayed from it the entire outing. Water temps are huge.
  11. Happy to hear you got your enthusiasm back. I got skunked a few weeks ago......BUT didn't want to be bothered by the pesky critters anyway.
  12. Yum, you know what your doing.
  13. Appears mostly normal around here, lots of businesses running, stores open all State parks still open. Biggest issue is hoarding. Wife and I tried to buy a freezer yesterday for our youngest daughters house, this is here first home. Well every place we went were sold out , said it'll be weeks if not months. My guess is hoarders are using them as toilet paper lockers or maybe even hiding in them, kinda embarrassing really.
  14. Yes, agree, it's likely the increased water current holding your bait up.....kinda like the wind holding a kite up.
  15. I live in a more predominate area for introduction of these fish. Deep clear mountain lakes in western part of VA. Starting to see more signs at the ramps about their introduction. Thanks.
  16. It actually did as you describe. Unfortunately when the fish hesitated in the clear water, I could see the bait positioned vertically on exterior of mouth.....dangit.
  17. It looked like one and acted like one. Lol Stocked of course.
  18. Perhaps a question without an answer. Had a large Pike rip off a Jerkbait right beside the boat today, water was clear and this 3 trebled bait had his face. What's the chances of this Pike or any fish for that matter to shake it off. I've never felt good about leaving hooks in fish but mostly deal with gut hooked.
  19. Water temps finally in the mid 50's, calm and overcast. Caught 7, 1 on Neko then pike took my Jerkbait as it was starting to rain.
  20. Thanks, excellent.
  21. I have an enormous amount of respect and admiration for the resources I've been handed. I do my part and will continue. No tree hugger either but do love trees.

I'm also 59 and had very similar symptoms. Simple hamstring stretches helped a bunch, do them every morning. Another herbal remedy which was surprisingly helpful was Turmeric and fish oil, try it. Hope the discomfort eases up for ya'.
