I've moved to all AGM batteries due to no maintenance requirements but have had good service life with everstart.....for the money.

I'm like bill Belichick, I have a game plan the night before, baits tied on for intended lake I'm fishing, boat loaded. On lake before daylight, won't even return texts from wife or friends, I'm in a zone......I must catch fish or I'm a miserable failure with no purpose.

Jerkbaits are probably my overall favorite technique and never use them like a crankbait, just don't. Winter - slow sinking - count down - slow twitch. Spring pre spawn - suspending - jerk and pause in shallower water. Summer and fall - suspending and top - aggressive jerks. I really like Jerkbaits.

Casting accuracy is another. Since moving from a bass boat with the nice standing platform to a seated position in a kayak, my accuracy has suffered some......miss that stump, miss that fish.
