Pretty good form going on there.

Dealing with inexperienced anglers
Yeah quite the story, entertaining. Do you feel the need to tell them everytime you're going fishing. Love your parents as they love you but alone time is a necessity.

Deep cycle batteries
I've moved to all AGM batteries due to no maintenance requirements but have had good service life with everstart.....for the money.

Fishing just for the heck of it
I'm like bill Belichick, I have a game plan the night before, baits tied on for intended lake I'm fishing, boat loaded. On lake before daylight, won't even return texts from wife or friends, I'm in a zone......I must catch fish or I'm a miserable failure with no purpose.

Working to Stay Lean ~
A-Jay hats off to you. Great dedication and fitness level , you shall reap the benefits. I'm close behind you. Lol I spend 5 days per week in home Gym, high reps with minimal pause , cardio and strength training, an addiction really. My cool down is 3 miles of mtnbiking.

your first baitcasting reel
It was a brilliant gold tournament series Shimano in left hand, guessing between 17 - 20 yrs old........lost it in a nasty boat flip years later.

Favorite color rubber bait
Pumpkin seed, watermelon red flake, motor oil , PB&J and yes, do well with Junebug.....to name a few. Different manufacturers have various colors which may resemble something we use but call it something else. Zman for example......morning dawn, Aaron's magic.

No fishing boats in Michigan
Hmmm can't imagine motoring across the middle of Houghton lake not be considered social distancing......it is what it is.

Easter Sunday 2020
Happy Easter. Yes, strange Easter for us as well. Our girls are working everyday and wanted to spend the weekend with mom and Dad, we sadly declined, they understood. Growing up, Granny always made us read Mathew 28 before lunch at her house on Easter......at least we can still read. Lol

Fooled by lure/hook snag
Getting fooled means your ready. I got fooled so bad recently that I almost netted a submerged branch.

Short shank vs long shank treble hooks
I had some long shanks laying around, decided to install them on a suspending Jerkbait......it was transformed into a slow sinking, not what I was after.

Senko vs Trick worm
Hard to beat a weightless Senko in heavy cover, prefer a Zinkerz post spawn. Tail up configuration, I like Zoom finesse and Zman wormZ.

After many days of crappy fishing, it paid off
That's a good fish......keep it up.

Friend of mine always puts his truck in 4WD then park. Guessing he's seen a few videos.

Talk about some jerks...
Jerkbaits are probably my overall favorite technique and never use them like a crankbait, just don't. Winter - slow sinking - count down - slow twitch. Spring pre spawn - suspending - jerk and pause in shallower water. Summer and fall - suspending and top - aggressive jerks. I really like Jerkbaits.
