Senkos, plastic worms get harassed by smaller fish but it's usually pecking. I wait to feel pressure or see line moving then swing. With 1 hook baits there's always going to be a percentage of misses, for me anyway.
  3. Cold 39* to start, windy, blue bird skies. White tandem willow spinnerbaits and Rage craws.
  4. No, they made cap space by dumping they're QB.....what's his name.

Not that it makes much difference but I have a Jerkbait tied on year around. I get tired of throwing them to but they keep producing.
  6. Yeah that injury scares me a little, kinda like Bo Jackson but you're right, minus the injury, he'd go ahead of Burrow as his scouting report shows big promise.
  7. Hoping Miami has a strong draft, they have a bunch of picks. Lol Rather see them get Justin Herbert.......better yet, trade up and get Burrow, yeah that works.
  8. Know what your saying......I need +300 readers to tie my shoes.
  9. This will draw a variety of opinions. Just about every body of water I fish is gin clear, I like the many benefits of braid, strength per diameter, no stretch, sensitivity and long lasting. Braid to fluorocarbon leader is the way I do it. Using cheaper Flouro like Vanish in smaller spinning reels just invites issue with un-coiling. I've not experienced many issues with casting gear but don't like the stretch that Flouro has, especially on long cast trying to set a hook. We all like what we like.
  10. Just for the sake of having fun I'd guess 5.93 lbs. Nice catch regardless.
  11. I do think about it everytime I apply sunscreen but after a few fish my hands blend in with the environment.
  12. Lol, always end up wearing a headlamp.
  13. I have a big day planned for tomorrow, a 14 hr float through some amazing smallmouth water, do it every year. Catch 80% of fish on white 1/4 spinnerbaits, they cover water so well when dealing with current. Plus we can't stop as this is a 21 mile float, hitting eddies with spinnerbaits is fantastic.
  14. I always retie before each trip, which is quite often but usually not on the water unless, like you mentioned, I've fought one in a tree. Cutting leader lengths and tieing leader knots is time consuming on a small boat and much easier at home with a shop light.
  15. What rod ? So we don't regret. Lol
  16. I do quite a bit of drop shot and only have used Gamakatsu finesse wide gap with Robo, no issues.
  17. Nope, you can't make that fish look bigger, big fish.

I always start outside limbs, weightless Senko or texas. Any submerged timber gets a spinnerbait.

Over 40 yrs of fishing and never sunk a hook in this person, I hate self inflicted pain. I throw a lot of trebles and use grippers regardless of mouth size. Been clunked in the chest a time or two from trying to free a lure but respect those hooks.
  20. Yes how about that ? New cases in VA has declined 3 days in a row, wheeeew.
  21. They've slowed down in VA due to the reappearance of winter, WHAT THE.... BUT they are sitting on beds here in the western part. Hang in there, better action ahead.
  22. Very informative video, thanks. What I find hilarious, a very close friend of mine who has a rear mounted trolling motor always asks if I'll operate the boat. Claims I'm better at the controls. Lol I'll store this video in my noggin.
  23. Big fish, little fish.
  24. Really good fish ?
