Only place around here I can hit those numbers is my buddies neighbors stocked pond. Funny thing is if I catch 5 on the lake he laughs at me cause he just caught 20... yeah at your neighbors stocked pond... love the guys who fish well stocked ponds and think they r pro cause they land a good number. Then they hit the lake and catch 2 or 3 and say they had a off day.

I’ve thrown everything on hi viz line. Black ,Brown,Green Sharpies to color line anywhere from 5 to 20ft does the trick. Get the sharpies with big flat tip. I slice a small notch to make it easy for line to slip into. That said topwater is my normal application for hi viz line. I Don’t use it for anything else unless I have no choice

I’ve had a pretty good year .. just this non existent fall transition I’m used too has me scratching my head.

Or on lockdown quarantined.

Mid October and this is the first time I have not seen what I’m used to for a fall transition, like nothing. It seems as though the bass are not fattening up for winter . Usually this time of year the top water bite is awesome catching some big aggressive bass. Beginning to wonder if the massive jump in pressure this year has caused this ... this is all my lakes I fish and everyone I talk too seeing same thing.

Well I know my hook wasn’t dull as my morning started off with my first cast into over hanging tree branches I had to cut lol. That was the other thing .. my casting was not my usual. I’m no pro but typically am fairly accurate. Yesterday I couldn’t hit a hot air balloon 40 yards away ?. No clue what that was about

I replied to a comment the other day that I have been having great outings as of late.. well yesterday I about lost my mind. 8 strikes and no hook up . It’s like they were playing with me. Changed lures multiple times as well. It’s like they weren’t interested just taking a quick swipe . Fall equals getting fat .. not yesterday. Sight fished one bass and it had no interest at all.... just watched lures bop by. Going back this morning to hopefully get my revenge lol. edit... lol.. went out for couple hours got my revenge.. only 2 but both half decent 3 pounders. One nice blow up on the whopper plopped. I need to invest in a chest mount for my iPhone. Would have liked to fish a few more hours but .. as we all know keeping the wifey happy is important so off to homedepot for a new basement door . It’s beer thirty somewhere, can’t work on the house without some cold ones?

In the past week I’ve done very well. But I switched to another reservoir about 30 minutes from me. Usually fish a lake 5 minutes away for my 2 to 3 hour outings.. it’s just been dead there.. the lake turned to nothing but muddy water which I could not for the life of me get a bite.

My grab and go .. all else and extra in assorted plastic containers .. wifey don’t care what I buy.. no hiding needed lol.

Ouch.. that’s one way to shave down reel weight. All kidding aside would love to see a front shot. But wow looks like it been happening since day one

Suffix excels just as Seaguar users have quoted. You really have try any of these brands. 832 and Seaguar are 8 strand verse standard power pro being 4 .. for me I like heavier pound power pro for a lot of top water and heavy cover and 832 for all else. There no real right or wrong.. everyone has there own preference and confidence in there lines/lures of choice . Some anglers flat out just like the feel of a certain lines and that’s it .

Only use 1 brand? Heck most all are good. I wouldn’t switch because u have one bad spool. I mix it up between power pro and suffix 832. I like suffix 832 for some applications being 8 strand and power pro for others. I do want to try Seaguar smack down as well.

Maybe bass are evolving more and up’ing their game.. the rate this year is going ‘21 spawn bass will be sporting barracuda teeth. Bass thumb.. hell it will no thumb. That’s my prediction and I’m sticking to it.

The Abu Garcia Revo x can be had under 100.. have used it as a frog reel and it worked very well.. smooth and did a really good job launching . It is the only budget reel I have and am still very happy with it.. it just serves a different purpose now.

Yup , nothing like tying on the wrong frog and throwing it deep into a massive lily pad field lol.

I started and learned on a bait caster. I remember asking my dad what those weird looking reels were.

My best frog hits in my area are first light and close to sunset. Unless it’s a cloud covered day. At least this time of year for me.

Hitting the water in the yak for first time in a month in about a hour. Currently 58 degrees here at 5:30ish. Hoping for a good morning bite . Back to 90s mid week. Good day to you all.

There used to be a lot of pockets all over .. now it’s u have to get to the over hangs or get lucky in the channel that runs in the middle. Lily pads are usually everywhere in this little local lake but they were fried out mid summer from the excessive algae cover . This lake was awesome to me last year .. this year Mother Nature had it’s way with it.

I just keep fishing or practice skipping because ... well I suck at it.

I can just comment my opinion on the Mojo Bass jig n worm . I just got the 6’8 Medium heavy fast and it’s a broomstick to me. Tip has next to no flex. At first I thought I liked it .. but not now.
