I already have that real and is what is going to be taken off another rod and put on the St. Croix I ordered. Rod is important to me as wanted something a little shorter.

This always confuses me. Just the terms in general. I just have in my head more whip,bend in load up is softer. Anyways, I ordered a St. Croix Mojo Bass Casting Rod Med Hvy/Fast

Everyone says soft tip but don't say what action tip they use for skipping,..moderate fast, fast, extra fast.. soft tip to me would be moderate fast.. fast is stiffer and extra fast the stiffest.They usually just mention the power. So what is soft for everyone,, its next to impossible to get hands on these rods before you purchase. All my other rods are Favorite,, They don't have anything in 6'8 to '6'10 to fit the bill from what I see. Aslo peeking at this St. Croix Mojo Bass Casting Rod 6'8" Med Hvy/Fast

Of course I just ordered a Daiwa Elite long cast not knowing product announcements were coming.

Looking at this rod .. 6'8 or 6'10 medium heavy/Mod. fast tip. I'm thinking of giving this a shot as a skipping stick. Researching on preferences on skipping there as always so much out there... for myself just learning to better skipper is a medium heavy with a moderate fast tip a good start.. lil more whip from the tip? I'm talking more soft plastics than jigs.

It's beyond nuts. Why I hit the water by 1st light as by 10am forget it. Local small lake I have been fishing is only 68 acres.. by the time I leave there is around 20 kayaks, a few Jon boats and Bass boats and some paddle boarders.

I explained it wrong,, it wasn't raised a additional 10 inches..they are now 10 inches to seat top, but yes they are in the water all the time.. 6 hours today of some great Father's Day Fishing.. they are fine. Both myself and my son have the mod and its so much nicer sitting up higher. Cheap mod. to get me thru until I can pick up my next yaks..Vibe Shear Water 125.

My sit on top Kayak is only 30" wide but I did a seat mod and raised it 10 inches,,was really looking for what a lot of you prefer.. high or low angle. I ordered a Aquabound Stingray hybrid(low angle) 240.. was suppose to be here yesterday.. now its says delayed shipping.

Garmin striker 4cv is what I'm getting for my Yak. $180.00 .. been trying to find father days sales with no luck for it.

Thanks for the the reply,my son is now using my paddle and I want something a little lighter also see if a upgrade is more efficient for me. If I'm buying another I don't want the same one..try something new

Getting another paddle, for you sit on top guys do you prefer high or low? I don't want to spend a few hundred and regret my decision. Can a low angle still get me going good if I want or is it going to beat me up more? And is a high angle that much different than a low angle just slowly moving spot to spot? It just kind of seems to me a high will be just as good as a low just cruising but have the horsepower if i want it. I currently have a Field and Stream Ace paddle 240 Blade dimensions: 18.3” x 7” I am looking at Aqua bound of some version.

Just got into the Kayak scene this year.. my advice/take it from me .. save more money. You WILL quickly find out you want and or need a upgrade if you skimp out.

Lol, reading your post sounds like you were on lil lake I fish at, but you are not in my state. Same thing yesterday out on the Kayaks. Tons of beds,no sight of bass and zero bites anywhere else. I was quite frustrated. I fished shallow,deep and thru a assortment of baits/lures. So many factors to key in on and lately have not gotten out as early as I normally do which is sunrise. I'm not off to the spring I hoped for but weather as not helped either.

If running late I'll stop for a Hoagie . Usually pack PBJ,Fruit bars and water/gatorade.

I have both . Love my Curado Dc and my Daiwa HLC. The system on the Dc is awesome.. at the same time there is something about casting the HLC that I can't get enough of...

My local lake has been way high pressure as of late. A lot of parents out with there little ones. And other people breaking there rods out in boredom. I get it and at least some r taking there little ones out .. most of them stick to the parking lot area.. the ones that venture down the trail is the problem. No common sense or respect for others around them.

Water is definitely still cold.. local lake is small and shallow.. plenty of area’s 3 to 5 feet so if I flip I won’t freak out.. well may as it’s cold but.

Took my Ascend 10t out for first time. No gear with me, just out to get a feel. Such a different atmosphere. I like it alot. Used to buddies Bass boat which is awesome but can see that I will like this even though it's just a entry level Yak. Just myself , the water and fishing. Most times I fish off the banks I'm by myself which I enjoy. I try to get my 22 and 19 year old to come out but the 22yr. old just doesn't show interest and my 19 year old fishes for a hour than is on his phone sitting on my tailgate lol. Weather looks nice for weekend so I'm excited to get it out for my first fishing outing on it.

Thanks.. I’ll hold off on mounting anything.. just get it on water first. Been raining so have had in workshop going over it doing little stuff. You all remember that excitement of first boat/yak.. and than add weather that stops u from getting it out there lol.

Just got my first Kayak.. the lowly Ascend 10t.. I say that as yes I know it’s entry level lol. Anyhow.. I want to mount my anchor trolley (Yakgear) and paddle clip (1). Will mounting Clip on same side Interfere( be a pain the butt) with working the anchor trolley if paddle is in clip ? Is it better to just put on opposite side ? I know it’s opinion but just looking for that... opinions. I want to mount trolley on right as think I will land more from left.. was wanting to keep that side open... or am I thinking to much lol.

Seen it all last year at local Small lake, Every single time I was there at dusk which was a crap load of times.. same guy there with his buckets catching and most likely taking to his pond..anything.. he caught it he took it. Others there have said the same as they think he has a pond.

Are you referencing having it folded back to cab and locking both tabs so bed is open ? I’m talking about driving like this but with gate down.

Looking at picking up a Truck hitch extender, but curious with those with Tonneau covers. Any issues having Tonneau cover and tailgate down while driving? Thanks

The Plastics are 1 of many things I see on the banks. Plastics,wadded up fishing line,Styrofoam containers from worms. Amazes me how stupid people are.. take that back doesn't surprise me at all. I did find nice new Shimano Pliers.. was grateful for that lol.

Some State Parks closed but than some reopened trails and lakes to fishing, but all buildings closed in Parks.
