Released one to my doorstep in 4 days.   US version would just be $100 more and probably have worse knobs.

Throw Magforce 3D on there and I'll take 5!

Would be nice to see another magforce 3D reel but I think we both know that ship has sailed.  People struggle with the simple braking systems that are availble now MF3D would make their heads pop.

Alan Hawk thinks that the monocoque bodies will be trickling down to the lower priced tiers.    jj

Alan Hawk? Who is that guy? Almost all technologies utilized by all reel manufacturers trickle down. X Protect, Micro Modular gearing, MQ, MagSeal, CRBB bearings. All of this stuff tricks down. The current Stradic FL is actually the old Stella. The new blank G Loomis is using in the E6X is the old IMX blank. Seems like a blanket statement

Overall, the MQ body is genius.

All I want from Daiwa at this point is a updated Pixy that takes "normal" Pixy spools and a $200-300 small/medium frame reel that takes normal 34mm spools.

My guess is the yellow and red reels from the T3.  Actually what I want

More tatula

Fuego in the smaller frame

Or a whole new platform that look like a quantum exo again.  Hahaha

I want a Tatula Elite 3D or Steez A 3D and I want a Fuego in the new 100 frame. Maybe a Fuego SV too.

Alan Hawk is one of the most well known saltwater reel reviewers. Companies have changed reel designs after his breakdowns. He does freshwater reels occasionally, but not as often.

I just want whatever they come out with next to be Japanese made. A Z100/150 would do the trick

I would definitely give a buy one of the mid range Diawa reels to give it a try if they offered a version without the t wing system which makes the long leaders I use pretty much impossible to cast. I know they make a quality product, not better than Shimano for the price based on the ones I have used, so it would be nice to give them a real try without having to alter the way I fish to accommodate for a system that arguably doesn’t make much of a difference. I know the vast majority of people aren’t using braid to a leader on casting setups so it’s a small market, but it would still be great if they offered no t wing as an option.

Alphas CT 70.  Also just get one of their older reels used like new.  They're better anyways.

Might actually pick one of those up if I can find a deal on one, been looking for a small reel for my jerkbait setup to replace the curado 70 I sold, I’ll look into those if I don’t end up just getting another curado dc or chronarch mgl

Of course I just ordered a Daiwa Elite long cast not knowing product announcements were coming.

I don't think the new products will affect your purchase.

I talked to Daiwa yesterday about something else, and poked the guy for info. He insinuated it was mainly updates to saltwater products. Take that for what it's worth.

I just want an updated version of the Zillion on a smaller platform.

pls pls pls be the Steez A trickling down as a Zillion and not a Tatula 100 with a superfree.

That's what the Zillion SV 10 is. Just sucks it's only available in the high ratio.

The new products are pretty uneventful from the videos I saw. Kage MQ and BG MQ are mildly interesting, as I really liked the BG and Tatula LT. Tatula 300 does nothing for me.

No it's not.  It's a Tatula CT SV super free.  Tatula trickled up to $400 and not a Steez trickled down.

It has the same recessed dial on the sideplate as the Steez A. The A and Tatula 100 are the same platform, aside from that sideplate.

From Jun at JapanTackle

Jun's comments:

This is the 10.0 gear ratio model of Daiwa 16Zillion SV TW 1016 reels, with following upgrades like G1 SV spool, aluminum spool holder, metal star drag, metal main shaft post cover, new slim knobs and new palming side cup. With these new upgrades, this Zillion 10.0 is totally different Zillion SV TW than other gear ratio models. I hope Daiwa releases other gear ratio models like 6.3 and 7.2 in the same construction as this Zillion 10 soon

The Tatula CT is a Tatula CT with a fixed inductor Magforce and a matt paint finish.  Literally a downgrade of an older reel sold as a new exciting product.

Yea, that was the only new product that even caught my eye... and come to find out there’s nothing new about it.

A Kage with an MQ body I’m intrigued. Seems they took away some bearings also. That BG MQ is intriguing as well...
