This time of year I buy more than rest of season . I guess so I can use a few times than stare at it all winter and torture myself . Thru the winter It’s amazing how many times I reorganize a box I just reorganized . We all reorganize thru the year but winter it’s ridiculous what I do.

I make my own like many , I use 2 weights. Usually 1/8 - 1/4

Was slamming them on the Ned rig a few weeks ago.. not so much since.

Well all I know is drastic turn in weather last couple days and forecast appears it will stick...not hanging it up yet but water temp is plummeting .

I will be moving back out west in the next couple years . Az as well probably a tick south or west of Sedona . While I know my way around the area fairly well I am unfamiliar with local bass fishing to the vicinity.

Expert .... not me ... not remotely close ? . Wash rinse repeat. I try, I learn ,I scratch my head , more often than not curse . And at times come home and break out a scale weighing different combinations in hope of scoring a magic presentation... than I give up and drink more beer. I am a fishing perfectionist.. just not good at the perfect part.

Cabela’s/BPS in my area at least usually has a couple bins of clearance lures .. I can dig thru and usually find a couple things since they ditched the bargain cave. I used to love going there , now I usually leave more annoyed than anything . Sale sale sale on everything BPS brand .

I feel your pain. Have had Carpal tunnel in both hands , surgery on both hands and have some nerve damage in both hands. Still dealing with pain I resorted to Cortizone injections. World of difference. Point being nothing wrong seeing a doctor, may help.

When my line is low or Have reversed it and color is faded out beyond my liking. Could be once a year or every couple.. usually come down to color fade

I have 2 . The Curado Dc and the Slx Dc. I got the Curado when it came out . I have always liked it . It’s just something different to me. The Slx I just bought and have no idea why lol. I got a good deal on it . Should have bought what I actually wanted .. but I’ll keep it . They both perform well.

I don’t like sleeping in. If I do I feel like I’ve wasted away the day. Weekdays it’s 4am even though I don’t leave for work til 6.. weekends 7am at the latest and I don’t like that... usually 5 or 6am unless I’m hitting the water than it’s back to 4

This is just one area I was fishing. They have been tucking up against all that rock. Straight past the tower, that bank is the shallow I usually fish where the past month I have been doing well. the far side of the lake the shallows is quite a large flat til it drops off.. but as u can see by the terrain there is limited access unless your good at standing on 45 plus degree angle. Would love to drop my kayak here but it’s a bank only lake. On top of that one main trail to get to a few other shallow spots .. if you look up u may see someone looking down at you not very happy aiming something at u with a pointy tip on it ???

I need to move wherever u all are at.. my scenery last few days is watching squirrel’s ? and hearing the occasional shotgun blast while fishing

Swim jig had a fluke on it. Had no success with jerk bait other day not that today it wouldn’t have worked. If I get back out in morning before rain comes I’m thinking weightless wacky rig as well.

Low 50’s. When I arrived it was early , cloudy and heavy fog.. it cleared pretty quick . I threw a assortment , Texas Rig , Ned Rig , Shaky Head , Football Jig, Swim Jig , Chatterbait, Spinnerbait . I was knocking off the bottom , rocks and every speed in between lol. Not a bite. We all have these days but today really shocked me. I just could not find them anywhere I usually land them and a few other spots. One thing that has changed is the water is somewhat clear but the bottom is black in a lot of areas from all the dead leaves.

Must say I got extremely frustrated this morning . When u have a good feeling when u head out and get slapped it’s like the fish saying season over go study your game book and better luck in the spring ?. I don’t know where they were but I couldn’t find them and or they watched ever bait/lure cruise past and said nope. Not even a dink wanted to play.

As of late VMC 4/0 with a snell cause that’s what Dicks had and haven’t ordered any
