  1. interesting at that price point for sure
  2. Thats a solid line up. I honestly feel like the difficulty in "dialing in" a reel is sometimes exaggerated. That's a great selection of reels none of which would appear to be difficult to dial in after a handful of casts. Problem isn't the reels ...
  3. Here ... not the same, but i expect differences to be similar.
  4. I believe the Tranx feature differences that aren't really easy to notice like thicker drive shafts. Im guessing it may not have a plastic worm shaft either? Now if the part numbers on the schematic are exactly the same as a Curado then yeah, thats disappointing.
  5. For $50 youre lucky to find a "for parts only" green curado
  6. Honestly you should just settle this by lifting a full gallon of milk and recording it for all to see. That'll show em'!
  7. Top drag stacks have bigger disks which in theory should make for a better drag with more surface area. It's also likely easier/cheaper to manufacture as from taking baitrunners apart, there seems to be more to bottom drags than to top drags.
  8. Only you know the places you fish. For me transportation would be the main issue.
  9. I've been slowly switching off YZH for other presentations but have seen no reason to change for crankbaits outside of deep divers
  10. This thread keeps getting bumped lol. I picture people anxiously clicking awaiting some type of line conditioner or new method of spooling line only to be told to hold it tightly while reeling in the lure ...
  11. Find it here and go back in time to before it was flooded in https://www.historicaerials.com/ Fish the old road and any major structure visible. Also if it was filled in when an excavator hit an underwater spring, find out where that source of water is. It can be super productive year round.
  12. Makes me wonder if 1¥ is seen the same way as a penny here where most ppl wont even stop to pick one up if they see it on the ground
  13. Yup historic aerials is great for anything manmade. You can get a good idea of structure. https://www.historicaerials.com/viewer
  14. T Wing is the main difference. But yeah you can swap gears and spools.
  15. ^ Probably best route on this one
  16. That's what Daiwa USA charged me, shipping was extra.
  17. What Tatula has 5.9? I have done the swap on mine with "P" gears but those are 5.5 as noted above. Drive H99-2301 - $13.22 Pinion H99-2301 - $5.64 I ordered direct from Daiwa but this was during January 2020 and even then, I had to wait about 3 months for the pinion gear to be stocked again.
  18. Yeah, to me a soft tip has nothing to do with action. It's tip despite action ... if that makes sense. A stinger tip is a good example of a soft tip.
  19. Is that hot sauce a new formula? The one i had was the old version that was packaged clear with a red top instead of white and I can attest that it would dry and harden.
  20. Spool it now in case you get the itch on a nice day
  21. Seems to be a grease for use in lifetime applications. Interesting to see if it can be used for longer intervals in fishing reels ... although bearings would probably need more frequent lubrication which may defeat the point
